Every week, we bring you our advice on which signal-callers have the potential to help your fantasy teams win. We will consider recent performances, the quarterbacks’ supporting cast, and the matchup and add some smart statistical insights to offer you the clearest picture of which QB to pick up from your waiver wire.
Week 13 offers up a different kettle of fish than recent weeks, as despite no team enjoying a bye, we have a schedule of games littered across the weekend due to Thanksgiving. So, set your lineups early and be aware of the injury designations prior to the three Thursday Night Football games. There is also a Friday night game with the Chiefs taking on the Raiders. The fantasy playoffs are two weeks away for most teams, so it is crunch time. Who can you stream at quarterback to get you in the mix?
We will only consider quarterbacks who are less than 70% rostered in Yahoo! leagues to give you an honest chance at picking one up for your team’s matchup. So, with that caveat, let’s look at the lay of the land for Week 13 of the 2024 NFL season and highlight our recommendations.
QB | Matchup | % Rostered (Yahoo!) | Projected Fantasy Points |
---|---|---|---|
Caleb Williams, Bears | CHI at DET | 54% | 14.48 |
Anthony Richardson, Colts | IND at NE | 64% | 15.29 |
Matthew Stafford, Rams | LAR at NOS | 64% | 15.00 |
“I’m Freeeeee”
Caleb Williams, Bears at Lions
After Shane Waldron was relieved of his duties after the Week 10 debacle against the Patriots, Caleb Williams has put up back-to-back fantasy numbers that make him immediately relevant. His 26.90 fantasy points (in Yahoo!) at the weekend against a strong Minnesota defense highlighted the potential and inspiration he brings to the NFL landscape. Williams threw for 340 yards and two touchdowns, adding 33 yards rushing and a 2 PT conversion in an astounding comeback that took the game to overtime. His ability to make throws at every level, his unique arm strength, and a renewed belief in himself will all serve him well down the stretch.
This will be a shootout. Make no doubt about it. The Lions are here to punish, and the Bears are here for the pride of the fight. Williams will need to keep pace with Jared Goff, and that bodes well from a fantasy perspective.
The most HOLY SHIT play of Caleb Williams' career so far.

“Put Me In, Coach!”
Anthony Richardson, Colts at Patriots
There is no doubt about it: Anthony Richardson is in a full-on audition for the franchise quarterback role in Indy. Returning to the starting gig after being benched for Joe Flacco earlier in the season, Richardson put up stellar numbers in the perfect “get-right game” in Week 11 against the hapless Jets. Last week, however, it all fell apart against a stingy, creative Lions defense. Richardson has rushed ten times in each game in the last two weeks for a total of 93 yards, and his ability to make plays has stood out. All the hallmarks of a productive fantasy quarterback. The Patriots’ defense might be quite a way worse than the Jets’ defense he lit up on Week 11, so you should feel confident in a bounce-back performance.
why nobody nowhere needs to be giving up on Anthony Richardson

“Veteran Safety”
Matthew Stafford, Rams at Saints
Sometimes, you just need to go with the known quantity. Matthew Stafford is exactly that. Trending up with the return of his star receiving assets Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp, Stafford has balled out to the tune of four multi-touchdown passing games in his last five outings. In last week’s loss to the impressive Eagles, Stafford connected with his two favorite wideouts for 17 catches, 177 yards, and a score. The Rams are still in playoff contention in a tight NFC West, and a game against the beleaguered New Orleans Saints seems like the perfect tonic to return to winning ways. The Saints’ defense is without Marshon Lattimore and is a shadow of what it once was. Derek Carr has led his team to two straight wins, and this battle of two gunslingers should be a happy valley of fantasy points.
Just good all around-Great catch (& ball spin) from Puka Nacua after getting Slay w/ a vertical push in his stem, following a slight widening on his release-Slay creating contact & getting underneath to make a play-Perfect ball placement from Matthew Stafford
