QB Streamers to Add for Week 15

The first round of fantasy playoffs are upon us. Who can you rely on to get the job done in Week 15?

Every week, we bring you our advice on which signal-callers have the potential to help your fantasy teams win. We will consider recent performances, the quarterbacks’ supporting cast, and the matchup and add some smart statistical insights to offer you the clearest picture of which QB to pick up from your waiver wire.

Week 15 sees the start of the fantasy season for many. It is a time of great desperation when all the real-life worries take a further back seat to the joy of do-or-die fantasy football. Congratulations if you made it to your league’s playoffs. Hopefully, you are set at QB, but if you have some tough decisions to make, we are here to assist.

We will only consider quarterbacks who are less than 70% rostered in Yahoo! leagues to give you an honest chance at picking one up for your team’s matchup. So, with that caveat, let’s look at the lay of the land for Week 15 of the 2024 NFL season and highlight our recommendations.

QB Streamers

“Gunslinging”

Matthew Stafford, Rams vs. 49ers

With all his weapons loaded up, Matthew Stafford opened fire on the Bills in Week 14 and showed out. The Super Bowl champion spread the ball around the offense and fed his three elite weapons like they should be fed – Puka Nacua, Cooper Kupp and Kyren Williams all running riot as the blueprint for the rest of the season was set for the Rams. Stafford is still the same quarterback he was when the Rams won it all; he’s just been playing behind a worse offensive line and alongside a rebuilding defense. He has risen above those vulnerabilities over the past month and led his team to a healthy position in the NFC West. He has the chance to put the nail in the 49ers’ coffin this week, and there is no reason why he can’t top 300+ yards and throw for multiple touchdowns once again. He is by far and away the best and most reliable fantasy option this week from those available.

Awesome sideline throw and catch by Matthew Stafford and Puka Nacua. Listen to Matthew Stafford yelling at his WRs before the play to get lined up.

“Playoff Bound!”

Bo Nix, Broncos vs. Colts

There hasn’t been a better rookie quarterback this season than Bo Nix. He has been consistent, he has shown great improvement, and he has shown the ability to step up when his team has needed him. He might not have been as flashy as Jayden Daniels, but going into this week’s playoffs, I’d rather have him in my starting lineup. Nix has thrown for nine touchdowns in his last four games, including a four-touchdown performance against the Falcons. Coming out of the bye, he faces another porous pass defense in the Colts with the wild card spot on the horizon. It is time for him to ascend to the franchise quarterback star he has worked all year to become. We’d like to see him use his feet a little more, something that has been bottled up in the last month. If he is to put up the fantasy performance needed in the playoffs, he must produce a productive dual-threat performance in what we hope will be an exciting matchup against Anthony Richardson.

“Put on your Worship Music!”

Kirk Cousins, Falcons vs. Raiders

Hear me out! Kirk Cousins has been dreadful over the past month, and his decision-making has cost his team at least three of the last four games. So, why consider him? Well, he’s a professional. And he’s committed to turning things around. He can’t continue such a poor run, and other factors went against him in a better showing against the Vikings, in which he threw for over 300 yards. With Atlanta’s season well and truly on the line, Cousins faces a horrible Raiders defense that is giving up the seventh most points to quarterbacks this season. He showed he can still sling it against his old team, and he won’t get a better chance at a bounce-back performance. Start him if you need to make a splash. He will be boom or bust.

The offensive line is full-sliding to the right, so Cousins knows there's an unblocked defender off the left side. He drifts right to buy a little more time then floats this ball out to the wide open Mooney.
