Welcome back to another week of QB streamers, where I highlight three signal callers with sub-70% roster rates (on Yahoo! Sports) based on a variety of different reasons — personnel, weapons, previous performances, analytics, matchups, and so on.
Falcons’ Kirk Cousins was this week’s passing leader after his nifty 373-yard performance against the Buccaneers. MVP candidate Matthew Stafford finished second with 368 yards, while (ironically) the other side of the trade — Jared Goff — came in right behind him at 338 yards. Trevor Lawrence has certainly broken out in a big way, and his Week 15-leading FIVE touchdown passes is precisely what Jags fans envisioned him producing at his ceiling. He’s amassed nine tuddy’s via the air over the past three weeks compared to zero interceptions.
Now, let’s dive into which QBs to stream in Week 16!
Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers
| Opponent | Matchup Rating | Yahoo! Roster Rate | Proj. Pts |
| @ CHI | 5/5 | 70% | 16.56 |
If Love isn’t at least on the bench of one of your fellow league mates’ squads yet, you have to pounce on the opportunity to grab him. Love, 27, has looked exceptional over the past few weeks, and outside of a pair of interceptions in his last matchup, has been racking up quality fantasy production. He’s combined for eight passing touchdowns over the last three weeks, throwing for at least 230 yards per game over that span (including two games with 120+ passer ratings), and he’s been able to add over thirty total rushing yards to his arsenal.
Love faces the Bears, a defense that’s ranked T-8th worst in terms of PPR fantasy points allowed per game (~20) to opposing QBs. Not to mention, Love owns a career 121 passer rating with 1,125 yards and a 9 TD / 2 INT ratio in five games against Chicago.
Aaron Rodgers, Pittsburgh Steelers
| Opponent | Matchup Rating | Yahoo! Roster Rate | Proj. Pts |
| @ DET | 3/5 | 28% | 16.35 |
Rodgers, after his 23-for-27 (85%) performance, is still chugging along trying to keep the Steelers’ playoff hopes alive. He added 224 yards and 2 TDs against the Dolphins last week, helping Pittsburgh notch their eighth win. While the future Hall of Famer won’t “wow” you in the box score, Rodgers provides steady high-floor production thanks to his elite ability to limit turnovers. He’s also still found ways to stack passing touchdowns in his age-42 season.
Rodgers faces a Lions defense that ranks 6th-worst in the NFL at limiting production to QBs on a per-game basis this year. This is an extremely favorable matchup.
Bryce Young, Carolina Panthers
| Opponent | Matchup Rating | Yahoo! Roster Rate | Proj. Pts |
| vs. TB | 5/5 | 19% | 16.11 |
Young enters Week 16 as by far my favorite waiver wire matchup. The young signal caller has had his fair share of ups and downs this year, but it appears he has indeed turned a corner in his development. Not far removed from his MVP-caliber showings against the Falcons and Rams (448 yards, 3 TDs vs. ATL / 206 yards, 3 TDs, 147.1 passer rating vs. LAR), the 24-year-old faces an elite five-star matchup against a Tampa Bay defense that ranks second-worst among NFL defenses in terms of points per game allowed to opposing QBs. In his last affair with the Bucs, Young turned in two touchdowns, a 100.7 passer rating, and 203 passing yards… I think he feasts for even more production this week.
That’s it for this week! If there are any questions, comments, concerns, or you want to see more (MLB, NFL, etc.), feel free to hit my official Pitcher List/QB List social media up @ggeiss_PL and I’d be happy to chat!
