Quarterback Streamers: Week 17

Diving into three QBs to stream to help win your weekly matchup!

Welcome back to another week of QB streamers, where I highlight three signal callers with sub-70% roster rates (on Yahoo! Sports) based on a variety of different reasons — personnel, weapons, previous performances, analytics, matchups, and so on.

Matthew Stafford and Drake Maye each put on MVP-level performances, leading the charge in Week 16. Stafford, despite a heartbreaking loss, threw for a whopping 457 yards and 3 TDs against an elite Seahawks defense, while Maye turned in his first career 300+ yard passing game in a beautiful fourth quarter comeback victory against the Ravens. Joe Burrow helped his Bengals put up 45 points against the Dolphins, generating the highest passer rating of the week (146.5) while Brock Purdy threw for a week-leading five touchdown passes against the Colts.

Now, let’s dive into which QBs to stream in Week 17!

Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars

Opponent Matchup Rating Yahoo! Roster Rate Proj. Pts
@ IND 3/5 66% 18.56

Lawrence is playing at such a high level lately; I’d be shocked if someone hasn’t yet scooped him up in your league. If not, their loss! TLaw has broken out in a big way, leading his Jags to six consecutive wins. He’s thrown for 12 touchdown passes over his last four games (not to mention he’s added two touchdowns via the run game), and get this, he hasn’t thrown an interception over that span. You could argue Lawrence is the hottest player in the league right now, making him the ultimate waiver wire pickup during your fantasy playoffs.

Jacoby Brissett, Arizona Cardinals

Opponent Matchup Rating Yahoo! Roster Rate Proj. Pts
@ CIN 3/5 70% 19.5

Brissett hasn’t been all that bad since taking over for an injured Kyler Murray. He’s never finished in a game without a touchdown pass or sub-200 passing yards after taking over the starter role… that’s ten straight weeks! Brissett has amassed ten touchdown passes over the last four weeks, averaging over 250 yards per game, plus he’s been able to eclipse 15 rushing yards in two of those four games. His opponent — the Bengals — have allowed the T-4th most points allowed to fantasy QBs per game this season, making this matchup great on paper.

Quinn Ewers, Miami Dolphins

Opponent Matchup Rating Yahoo! Roster Rate Proj. Pts
vs. TB 5/5 2% 15.92

Ewers, 22, was just “meh” against the Bengals, turning in a 20-for-30 (67%) performance, good for 260 yards but no touchdowns. He takes over the reins against one of the friendliest defenses in the NFL (in terms of points allowed per game to QBs in 2025) — the Bucs have allowed 22.1 points per game to QBs, second worst in the NFL. The matchup is what makes Ewers so appealing on waivers. If you’re scraping the bottom of the barrel for a Superflex option, you could do worse than Ewers, but the range of outcomes is still very wide.

That’s it for this week! If there are any questions, comments, concerns, or you want to see more (MLB, NFL, etc.), feel free to hit my official Pitcher List/QB List social media up @ggeiss_PL and I’d be happy to chat!
