Welcome back to Week 3 of Quarterback Streamers, where we’ll be covering every week’s best offerings at the quarterback position. Last week was our first week diving into streamers, and hopefully we’ll stay on a successful path after a very solid Week 2 output. The stream of the week was Bryce Young, who was able to optimize his game against an already demoralized Atlanta Falcons squad. When the final whistle was blown, Bryce had 3 touchdowns and 0 interceptions, able to showcase what made him such an intriguing prospect coming out of college. Drew Lock had an efficient and beautiful stat line against the Arizona Cardinals, throwing 3 touchdowns on just 19 completions, due in no small part to Jaxon Smith-Njigba. While Tyler Shough was the least eye-popping of the three performances, only having 1 touchdown in his game against the Ravens, he has shown his ability to jump right into the Saints’ offense and give them a chance to win. Now, let’s cover our streams for this week as we look to find some gold in an already tricky streaming position.
Daniel Jones, Indianapolis Colts

Daniel Jones had a college pedigree that made him extremely enticing for fantasy, as a standard pocket passer with accuracy, only to flame out for the most part in his time with the New York Giants. His career started on a more positive note with the Colts, now nine months removed from a torn Achilles tendon. While last week wasn’t that interesting for his value, we may have started to see a new leaf turning, and with quarterback being somewhat top-heavy this year, finding a reliable backup or stream like Jones may require some quick precision. Jones put up a solid performance against arguably the hottest team coming out of opening weekend, putting up 30 points and taking the Kansas City Chiefs to overtime. While the end result was just a loss in the “win-loss” column, this could be a huge step up for a team that was going places right up to the time that Jones was hurt last year. Jones was able to capitalize on a strong game from league legend Jonathan Taylor, and a return performance from Josh Downs that makes me think that we could see a very sneaky setup against a struggling Houston team that thus far has not had the defensive edge that they’ve shown even just a year prior. There’s a potential for a top-10 Quarterback performance from Jones this week.
Michael Penix Jr., Atlanta Falcons

Michael Penix has not had the start to a career that some blue-chip prospects have had, but that seems like hardly an issue when a team like the Falcons’ has such high expectations and continues to dive-bomb into the turf over and over. Cooper Rush was given the chance to start two games this season, and most fans of the team would likely hope to forget it happened. Rush isn’t the answer, and the Falcons are one of the few teams who so far have had all the weapons and no one to get the ball to them. Drake London and Kyle Pitts are desperate for some form of an actual quarterback behind center, and Penix could be the missing piece to the puzzle. London takes his game on the road, stacking up against a Packers defense that thus far has struggled to find anything good to come from this season, almost losing to the Jets in a game that got stretched to overtime. Now the Packers will have a short week to watch game tape, and Penix hasn’t given them any tape this season. This isn’t the safest play, but this is arguably the one with the highest ceiling. Between Bijan Robinson, Pitts, and London, this arguably is the highest firepower of offenses discussed this week.

This is less of a victory lap than it is a welcome to the bandwagon that is leaving the station. The Young train is rolling; step right on up and get behind me in the driver’s seat! Bryce Young is arguably the player who’s had the biggest rise in value since week one, as his ascension has come in no small part from the rise of Jalen Coker and the return of Tetairoa McMillan. Over 2 games, Young is averaging 324 yards per game. Young has found himself in a groove and is firing on all cylinders, even picking up right where he left off this week with Darren Waller. With two solid receivers who are consistent and able to hold on to their targets, this could be one of the offenses that blooms this season. The backfield also has solid offerings with Chuba Hubbard and Jonathon Brooks that help keep teams from lining up to pass rush at an alarming rate. Young has another juicy matchup against a Browns team that has started to show some Monken magic on the offensive side of the ball, but could find themselves in a tricky predicament where this game becomes much more of a shootout than a preseason expectation would’ve leaned towards. Another top 5 quarterback performance isn’t that out of the cards.
