Sit/Start 2024 Week 1: Reviewing All Fantasy Relevant Players In Every Single Game

Sit or Start recommendations for every relevant player in Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season.

The NFL season is finally here, and there is nothing more exciting than heading into Thursday Night Football for the first matchup of the year. The good news is that most of your drafted players are healthy and playing without limitation for Week 1. The bad news is that it won’t last for long.

Sit/Start is relatively easy in Week 1. We have our rankings, and we can lean heavily on the “Start Your Studs” strategy. So, while this week’s Start/Sit breakdowns may have some simple notes, they also have notes of a few great options to keep an eye on or add right before the games start to get ahead of that initial run of waivers, which can be costly for those of you using FAAB or waiver priority. As always, you can check out my list of weekly rankings to complement these sit/start recommendations.

Some quick notes before you jump in:

  1. Remember, sits/Starts and Rankings are not set in stone. They are tools to guide you, not rules to follow blindly. Use them to shape your own decisions and make the best lineup adjustments for your team. Good Matchups are great, but getting too cute can cost you the week. Ask yourself this: “Am I going to feel more tortured by benching player X and him going off, or not playing player Y?”
  2. Have fun, talk trash, and win your matchups. If you don’t, there’s always next week.

Let’s Dive in.

Will Dustin be back to this column this season? I love his creative ways of insulting poor performances.
