Denver Broncos
Quarterback:
- Brandon Allen (Sit)
In two starts Broncos quarterback Brandon Allen has shown an aggressive style that has surprised fantasy owners. In just two games 45% of Allen pass attempts have traveled ten-plus yards, and 20% of these targets 20 plus yards. This week Allen faces a tougher matchup in the Bills, who are allowing just 13 fantasy points to the position. Allen has several good upcoming matchups where he could be considered in 2QB/Superflex leagues but this week he’s a sit.
Running Backs:
- Phillip Lindsay (Start/Flex)
- Royce Freeman (Sit)
Last week Phillip Lindsay was treated as a lead back for the first time all season. Lindsay received double the snaps as Royce Freeman but what is still a mystery is if this will continue. Lindsay has been the more productive back all year and there may be hope the Broncos staff is coming around to that realization. Buffalo’s rush defense has been up and down this season, at times giving up huge games to opposing backfields and at times shutting down the attack. Still, they are surrendering more than 140 total yards to backfields and a touchdown a game, so look for Lindsay to have a nice game. Since the bye week, Freeman has nearly disappeared and owners cannot trust him this week.
Wide Receivers/ Tight Ends:
- Courtland Sutton (Start/Flex)
- Tim Patrick (Sit)
- DaeSean Hamilton (Sit)
- Noah Fant (Start /TE2)
One thing is clear, Courtland Sutton can ball. Sutton has been a Top-24 wideout in eight of ten games including two Top-12 weekly finishes. Sutton accounts for 25% of the team’s targets and has been a consistent WR2 despite bad quarterback play. Sutton faces a Bills team that is top five in defending the position and allowing just four receiving touchdowns. Sutton could struggle this week but he is an easy flex play because of his consistency. Tim Patrick returned and had a nice game in Week 10 with four catches for 77 yards. It’s difficult to say if he or DaeSean Hamilton will be a player to own as a secondary receiver in Denver but Patrick did see outside snaps and can get free deep. He looks to have the edge but how valuable that role remains to be seen.
A pleasant surprise these past few weeks as been tight end Noah Fant. While Fant has just one TE1 fantasy week, he has consistently received targets and his role is increasing under Allen. Fant has shown nice run after catch ability and his role should continue to increase with the limited playmakers in Denver. He can be started as a high-end TE2 with upside.
Buffalo Bills
Quarterback:
- Josh Allen (Start/QB1)
Bills quarterback Josh Allen has been on a tear recently, both in fantasy and real football. Allen has six straight games with 19 fantasy points or more including 36 in Week 10. He’s gone five straight games and 154 attempts without an interception and accounted for 12 total touchdowns. Allen is an every-week low-end QB1 with upside. While the Broncos have a strong defense against the quarterback, it is impossible to sit Allen at this point.
Running Backs:
- Devin Singletary (Start/Flex)
- Frank Gore (Sit)
Outside of one incredible performance by the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 4, the Broncos rush defense surrendered less than 100 rushing yards to opponents. They are also not allowing many scores on the ground, just two since Week 4. With the running back landscape being what it is Devin Singletary is only a flex play this week, and a desperation one at that. While Singletary has taken over the lead back role in Buffalo, including nearly all passing snaps, this defense may not give him much room to operate.
Ageless Frank Gore has not received more than 11 carries since Week 5, a clear indication that he will be used in a part-time role without enough volume to contribute to fantasy lineups. He can be dropped by owners.
Wide Receivers/ Tight Ends:
- John Brown (Start/Flex)
- Cole Beasley (Sit)
- Dawson Knox (Sit)
Josh Allen professed his love of receiver John Brown and it’s hard to blame him. Brown has always been a talented receiver, wth injury concerns that have seen him in and out of the lineup. When Brown is in the lineup, he is always a solid flex play for owners. Brown has finished as a flex or better in every game he’s appeared in this season, plus he’s finished inside the weekly Top-12 three times. Denver will surely see plenty of Chris Harris this week but owners can still feel good about starting him.
Cole Beasley’s role has been up and down as of late. Beasley has received more than six targets just once in the past six games and his four catches last week were his highest since Week 4. Against a strong Denver secondary, and with the uncertainty of volume, Beasley cannot be trusted in lineups for owners.
Keep an eye on the tight end, Dawson Knox, this week. Know has increased his production with Allen and the young quarterback seems to favor his tight end. Knox has received plenty of snaps for the Bills but only recently has he become a fantasy factor. Whether or not that continues remains to be seen but he should be on the owner’s radar.

The defense has allowed 74 combined points over the last three weeks, so there could be some rust building upon this hot rod of a defense ????????
Ravens did all the damage, Dak is not Lamar.
