Start ‘Em and Sit ‘Em – Week 6

Three players to start and sit in your Week 6 matchups!

I’ll pat myself on the back for my Week 5 callouts, but the chase for a ‘clean sweep’ is still on.

A reminder that I judge my ‘hit or miss’ against a full-PPR format.

Week 5 Start ‘Em and Sit ‘Em Recap

Here’s to Week 6!

Start ‘Em

Wan’Dale Robinson, WR – New York Giants

Week 6 Matchup: vs Cincinnati Bengals

Albeit Malik Nabers missed Week 5 due to a concussion, Wan’Dale Robinson put together another productive game last week in the upset victory over the Seahawks. He caught six of nine targets for 36 yards and a touchdown, with one carry for four yards. He was two targets shy of the team lead for the game behind Darius Slayton’s 11, and it’s worth noting in the last three weeks, Robinson has caught 24 of 31 targets for 168 yards and a score. For a player who likely went undrafted in most leagues, Robinson has become a formidable option in PPR formats and should be in your lineup again this week against a middle-of-the-pack Bengals defense that is allowing the 15th most fantasy points to opposing receivers this season.

Tucker Kraft, TE – Green Bay Packers

Week 6 Matchup: vs Arizona Cardinals

Have a day, Tucker Kraft. The second-year tight end caught four of five targets for 88 yards and two touchdowns against the Rams in Week 5, and it was the second game in a row where he found pay dirt. With the tight end position being so bleak most weeks, if you were fortunate to scoop Kraft already, he’s a set-and-forget option. In Week 5, the Cardinals allowed George Kittle to turn eight receptions into 64 yards and a touchdown.

Jalen Tobert, WR – Dallas Cowboys

Week 6 Matchup: vs Detroit Lions

In the absence of Brandin CooksJalen Tolbert surely showed out. In the Sunday night win against the Steelers, Tolbert caught seven of 10 targets for 87 yards and a score. Per FantasyData, he out-snapped CeeDee Lamb 68 to 66, which doesn’t mean much, but that 68 is notable when you compare it to Jalen Brooks’ 37 and KaVonte Turpin’s 22. Dallas is a pass-heavy offense, and Tolbert will remain a factor worthy of your lineup, BYE week fill-in and beyond. It’s also worth mentioning he is set to face a Lions defense that is allowing the second most fantasy points to wide receivers this season.

Sit ‘Em

Amari Cooper, WR – Cleveland Browns

Week 6 Matchup: @ Philadelphia Eagles

The Cleveland Browns are losers of three straight, largely in part due to the poor quarterback play out of Deshaun Watson. The player who is hurting the most from that is Amari Cooper, who has yet to hit 100 receiving yards in any game this season. He is coming off a 10-target, four-reception game against the Commanders in which he had 60 scoreless yards. The target share remains high, as he is averaging 9.4 targets a game since Week 1. Despite the Eagles allowing the fourth most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers on the season, they are rested coming off their BYE, and with the state of the Browns offense right now, if you can afford to sit Cooper, it would be wise to do so.

Rashid Shaheed, WR – New Orleans Saints

Week 6 Matchup: vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Rashid Shaheed has been a pleasant surprise this season, IRL, and for fantasy purposes. FantasyData has him ranked the WR32 on the year entering Week 6 and is coming off a Week 5 where he caught four of nine targets for 86 yards and a touchdown. The caveat there is that Derek Carr was under center, and won’t be for the next few days due to an oblique injury he suffered in the loss to the Chiefs on Monday night.

Rookie Spencer Rattler has been handed the keys to the Saints offense, which no doubt puts a damper on Shaheed’s potential output this week.

Isaiah Likely, TE – Baltimore Ravens

Week 6 Matchup: vs Washington Commanders

Here we go again. After a monster Week 1, Isaiah Likely even came back down to earth the next three games, but then found the endzone twice last week in the thrilling win against the Bengals; the scores no doubt saved his fantasy day, as he had just three catches for 13 yards. That box score is the perfect reminder of why it’s hard to trust the Baltimore tight end, even though he’s having a better season to date compared to Mark Andrews. Not to mention, Washington is strong against opposing tight ends, allowing the fifth least amount of fantasy points to the position this year.
