Streaming QBs: Week 12

QB List provides you with the best fantasy options at the quarterback position to stream in Week 12 of 2023.

Every week we will bring you our advice on which signal-callers have the potential to help your fantasy teams win. We will look at the previous weeks’ performances, the quarterbacks’ supporting cast, the matchup, and smart statistical insights to offer you the clearest picture of which QB to pick up from your waiver wire.

Remember, we will only consider QBs who are less than 70% rostered in Yahoo! leagues to give you an honest chance at picking one up for your team’s matchup.

Week 11 was a disaster for streaming options at quarterback as only two signal-callers under 70% rostered finished in the top 18 fantasy players at the position. We predicted one of them, Jordan Love (20.88 fantasy points in Yahoo!) as his mini-renaissance continued as the Packers beat the Chargers. Love threw for over 300 yards for the first time this season, threw for two touchdowns and played turnover-free football. Our primary recommendation to stream, Joshua Dobbs (17.94 fantasy points) performed admirably but was robbed of a 20+ points score due to some questionable decisions from the officials. Still, Dobbs showed his pedigree as a starter and is now over 70% rostered and unavailable for streaming. The only disappointment was veteran Matthew Stafford (10.70 fantasy points), who lost his primary weapon Cooper Kupp early in the first half and the Rams offense couldn’t recover but still managed to upset the Seahawks thanks to a missed field goal at the end of the game.

Week 11 Performance

Going into Week 12, no teams are on bye!

With that knowledge in mind, let’s look at our recommendations for streaming.

QB Streamers

“Love Is All You Need”

Jordan Love, Packers at Lions

A marked improvement in the quarterback play of Jordan Love has caught the eye of many and his ability to make plays on third down and in the red zone has changed the fortunes of the Packers over the past month. While still limited by a low volume offense, Love has demanded attention as a fantasy streamer. The matchup on Thanksgiving against the upstart Lions could prove to be the limelight Love needs to compete in a shootout. Fantasy managers will hope so.

“Baby Got A Fast Carr”

Derek Carr, Saints at Falcons

This choice comes with a caveat that Derek Carr clears the concussion protocol and suits up to lead the Saints out in a pivotal game against the free-falling Falcons. All signs point to the veteran doing that and he was a full participant in yesterday’s session. Carr put in a number of impressive performances prior to being forced out of the loss in Minnesota. He returns with a full slate of weapons and an improved chemistry with Alvin Kamara, Chris Olave and deep threat Rashid Shaheed.

The Falcons are currently giving up the seventh-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season.

“Let Baker Cook”

Baker Mayfield, Buccaneers at Colts

After a very rough day out against a marauding 49ers defense, Baker Mayfield has the chance to bounce back at the Colts, who are giving up the 13th-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. Mayfield put up four solid weeks prior to the dud against the 49ers but we can forgive this. Mike Evans has proved to be a key figure in that run and Mayfield will continue to feed the veteran to get results.
