Despite none of our 3 recommended streamers hitting 20+ fantasy points, they were all productive enough to be effective in a week where 6 of the top 10 fantasy QBs were under 47% rostered.
Taysom Hill (19.94 fantasy points) recovered from a disastrous 1st half, in which he threw an interception whilst only passing for 65 yards as the Saints fell behind 17-0, to throw a pair of 2nd half TDs to just iss out on 20+ fantasy points. Hill really should have thrown for another score and also lost a key fumble on 4th down late in the game. Still, he remains a high-upside QB streamer.
Philip Rivers (17.76 fantasy points) was lights out in the 1st half and threw 2 fantastic TDs to veteran T.Y. Hilton. The Colts leaned on the power running of Jonathan Taylor in the 2nd half and Rivers was relegated to game management mode as they blew out to a big lead against the Raiders. It was the opposite game script for Kirk Cousinsย (17.10 fantasy points), who failed to drag the Vikings back into the contest against the Bucs. He was sacked 6 times as his offensive line crumbled against a strong Bucs defensive front. He was forced to throw underneath too often, limiting the effectiveness of his primary receivers Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson. Nearly half his yards and the TD went to his TE unit.
QB | Matchup | % Rostered (Yahoo!) | Fantasy Points |
---|---|---|---|
Kirk Cousins, Vikings | MIN at TB | 69% | 17.10 |
Philip Rivers, Colts | IND at LV | 44% | 17.76 |
Taysom Hill, Saints | NO at PHI | 64% | 19.94 |
Who surprised us? Baker Mayfield (31.02 fantasy points) takes out this crown for the 2nd week in a row as the Cleveland Browns were involved in yet another shootout, this time somewhat surprisingly against the Baltimore Ravens. Mayfield now has back-to-back 300+ yards games and also has 9 TDs in his last 3 outings. Kevin Stefanski is working wonders with the former No.1 overall pick.
Now, let’s look at the lay of the land for Week 15.
Remember, the caveat is that our recommended players for streaming are less than 70% owned in Yahoo! leagues.
QB | Matchup | % Rostered (Yahoo!) | Projected Fantasy Points |
---|---|---|---|
Jalen Hurts, Eagles | PHI at ARI | 18% | 19.21 |
Philip Rivers, Colts | IND vs. HOU | 41% | 19.10 |
Taysom Hill, Saints | NO vs. KC | 64% | 18.85 |
Teddy Bridgewater, Panthers | CAR at GB | 26% | 17.27 |
“Everybody Hurts”
Jalen Hurts, Eagles at Cardinals
Jalen Hurts was impressive in his Eagles starting debut in a shock win against the Saints. He exhibited plenty of maturity and showed intuition in moving the chains consistently, especially by using his legs. He threw for 167 yards and a TD to Alshon Jeffrey, but more importantly he rushed for 106 yards on just 18 carries. The Cardinals are currently giving up 344.5 scrimmage yards per game. The potential for Hurts to build upon his debut is there for the taking.

“Gently Down The Rivers”
Philip Rivers, Colts vs. Texans
The old stalwart has completely mastered this offense and looks set to finally make a Super Bowl run with a Colts team that can do it through the air, on the ground, or with their defense. Rivers has thrown for multiple TDs in each of his last 4 games, including a 285-yard, 2 TD outing against this week’s opponents, the Texans.

“Saints Now and Then”
Taysom Hill, Saints vs. Chiefs
Taysom Hill has shown us a little bit of everything since taking over the starting quarterback role from Drew Brees in New Orleans. This week he gets the Chiefs, who are giving up the 9th-most rushing yards to QBs this season. Hill is averaging over 20+ fantasy points per game in his 4 starts so far. He should be a healthy option against a Chiefs defense that gave up 27 points to the Dolphins last week.

Teddy Bridgewater, Panthers at Packers
Teddy “Two Gloves” has been a useful fantasy streamer for us all season and if Christian McCaffrey returns against a shoddy Packers run defense, he could catapult himself into QB1 status once again this week. We also love that Bridgewater has 3 rushing touchdowns in his last 4 games. It might not be a great matchup through the air but Teddy keeps showing ways to be fantasy productive week in, week out.
