Streaming QBs: Week 15

We provide you with the best options at the quarterback position to stream in Week 15 for your fantasy team.

Welcome to our quarterback streaming articles for 2021! Every week we will bring you our advice on which signal-callers have the potential to help your fantasy teams win. We will look at the previous weeks’ performances, the supporting cast, the matchup, and statistical insights to offer you the clearest picture of which QB to pick up from your waiver wire.

Our recommended fantasy streamer at quarterback, Taysom Hill (26.30 fantasy points) balled out in the Saints’ convincing 30-9 win over the Jets. Hill rushed for two scores to go along with 73 yards on the ground as he once again featured heavily in the offensive game plan. Although he didn’t throw a passing touchdown, Hill finished as the QB4 in Week 14 and looks locked in for elite production in the run in.

Taylor Heinicke (8.68 fantasy points) left the game against Dallas with a knee injury early in the fourth quarter and was replaced by Kyle Allen. Heinicke had a disastrous day at the office and completed only two of 13 passes in the first half for just 19 yards and an interception. Yikes!

Hoping for a shootout in the Saints and Jets game, our streamer Zach Wilson (11.38 fantasy points) failed short of the mark as the Jets were held without a score for the first time this year. Wilson struggled with accuracy on even the most basic throws at times and his lack of development is alarming at this stage in the season. A final play touchdown would have salvaged his fantasy showing, but he was stopped inches short of the goal line.

Teddy Bridgewater (15.16 fantasy points) recorded his eighth game of the season with multiple touchdowns as the Broncos ran all over the hapless Lions 38-10. Javonte Williams and Melvin Gordon ran riot on the ground so Teddy “Two Gloves” wasn’t asked to take many risks after the break. He ended up throwing for just 179 yards and he still only has one 300+ yard game all season.

Week 14 Performance

Now, let’s look at the lay of the land for Week 15. Remember, the caveat is that our recommended players for streaming are less than 70% owned in Yahoo! leagues.

QB Streamers

“Keep Climbing The Hill”

Taysom Hill, Saints at Buccaneers

It is no surprise that Saints quarterback Taysom Hill is once again our preferred quarterback streamer for this crucial week in the fantasy playoffs. Hill is still only 51% rostered in Yahoo! leagues so there is a good chance he is available to pick up via waivers.

Hill faces a matchup against a stout Bucs defense in Week 15, however they are weak against rushing fantasy quarterbacks. According to PFF, the Bucs rank 27th in rushing yards, 16th in rushing touchdowns and 27th in explosive run percentage and rushing yards per attempt allowed to opposing QBs. Hill has 50.96 fantasy points across his first two games as the Saints starter, with the majority of this production coming on the ground. He is a must start in Week 15.

“Jimmy GQ Winter Collection”

Jimmy Garoppolo, 49ers vs. Falcons

Last week’s overtime win against the Bengals saw the best and worst of Jimmy Garoppolo, the game acting as a complete picture of his time in San Francisco to date. There was more good than bad, and his chemistry with George Kittle, who went off for 151 yards and a touchdown, makes Jimmy G a smart play throughout the fantasy playoffs. He has five multiple touchdown games in his last six starts. He doesn’t have a high ceiling but he does have the weapons and form to offer plenty of upside.

Next up for the playboy quarterback is the dreadful Falcons defense, which currently gives up the second most fantasy points to quarterbacks. Start him with confidence.

“Ride The Wave In Miami”

Tua Tagovailoa, Dolphins vs. Jets

Coming off a bye week, Tua Tagovailoa returns in Week 15 with the Dolphins riding high on a five game win streak. In that run, Tua has consistently shown the big play ability needed in a franchise QB. With DeVante Parker healthy and Jaylen Waddle emerging as a top 10 wideout in the league, Tua is primed to take the Dolphins to the playoffs at the business end of the season.

The Dolphins welcome the moribund New York Jets, reeling from yet another inept defensive performance against the Saints. Tua should have a field day at home with a carnival atmosphere.
