Streaming QBs: Week 15

QB List provides you with the best fantasy options at the quarterback position to stream in Week 15 of 2022.

Every week we will bring you our advice on which signal-callers have the potential to help your fantasy teams win. We will look at the previous weeks’ performances, the quarterbacks’ supporting cast, the matchup, and smart statistical insights to offer you the clearest picture of which QB to pick up from your waiver wire.

Jared Goff (28.10 fantasy points on Yahoo!), we love you! Our top streaming option did us proud with a fantasy QB3 finish in the final week of the fantasy regular season. Goff was electric in a Lions win over the Vikings, throwing for 330 yards and three passing scores. Goff has emerged as the quarterback to roster outside the top 12.

Daniel Jones (21.36 points) also did the business with healthy production in the Giants’ heavy loss to the Eagles. Hurts and the Philadelphia offense were on fire and there was little Jones could do to match that production, although he still finished as the fantasy QB10 on the week. Jones remains a good option as the Giants chase the playoffs.

Derek Carr (4.58 fantasy points), we do not love you! Carr put up a complete dud and broke a streak of five games with multiple passing scores. Carr wasn’t aided by the play calling of Josh McDaniels as the Raiders slumped to a defeat on Thursday Night Football against the Rams and the debuting Baker Mayfield. We’re out on you now, Derek.

Week 14 Performance

Now, let’s look at the lay of the land for Week 15. Remember, the caveat is that our recommended players for streaming are less than 70% rostered in Yahoo! leagues.

Week 15 Streamers

“It’s a Purdy Good Week For A Streamer”

Brock Purdy, 49ers at Seahawks

If you’re going to roll the dice in the first round of your fantasy playoffs and need a quarterback then you could do no worse than giving Brock Purdy a go. The last pick in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft won his second career game with an efficient and at times spectacular performance – Purdy threw for two touchdowns and didn’t turn the ball over in a pivotal matchup against the Bucs.

It doesn’t get much bigger than a divisional showdown in Seattle with the NFC West all to play for. The Seahawks are coming off the back of a disappointing defeat to the Panthers. Purdy has been limited all week in practice so keep an eye on that as he plays on Thursday Night.

“Top Tier Fantasy Quarterback”

Jared Goff, Lions at Jets

We’ve already waxed lyrical about Jared Goff‘s performance for the Lions in a convincing win over the Vikings, but we cannot understate just how much Goff has bought into Ben Johnson‘s offense. Amon-Ra St. Brown has been balling out all year but the emergence of DJ Chark as a weapon downfield has taken this offense to another level, and Goff has matched the challene with some fantastic throws.

It is a bit of a risk starting Goff in a showdown with the Jets but if anything we are looking at a shootout in this game and that is only a good thing for fantasy. It’s playoff time, go big or go home!

“White On Time”

Mike White, Jets vs. Lions

After taking a big shot in the midsection in the Jets’ loss to the Bills last week, Mike White has come out and said he is good to go! That’s great news because nobody wants to see Joe Flacco on the field again. White has rejuvenated this offense and it is clear that the passing game thrives with him under center.

The Lions might be on a roll but it is the offense that deserves the credit. The defense just gave up 425 yards and two touchdowns through the air to Kirk Cousins. If White can generate the same kind of opportunities for his young, exciting receiving corps, we are in for a big fantasy day in the Meadowlands.
