Streaming Quarterbacks – Week 15

Rich Holman takes a look at some quarterbacks worth streaming in Week 15.

If you’ve been with me all year, you know there’s been some ups and downs. Week 13 gave us the Nick Foles negative stream, but the fantasy gods rewarded the believers in Week 14 to hopefully continue your journey in the fantasy playoffs.

Our “Stream of the Week”, Ryan Tannehill crushed it, putting up 27.5 fantasy points to finish as the QB6. Tannehill put up an incredible 391 yards on just 21 completions and his receivers found the end zone three times. If Tannehill wasn’t available in your league, hopefully, you went to our backup option, Jacoby Brissett. Brissett kept the Colts in the game against the Bucs and put up 22.6 fantasy points to finish as QB9. Let’s take a look at the rest of the leader board and then we’ll get into this week’s picks.

Week 14 Quarterback Scoring

Here are your options for Week 15:

Ryan Tannehill (48% Owned – Stream of the Week)

I’m doubling-down on Ryan Tannehill this week. If you used him last week, he did not disappoint. This week, he gets a matchup against the Texans, who just got shredded by rookie quarterback, Drew Lock. Since taking over as the starter in Week 7, Tannehill has finished at the QB14 or better in six of his seven starts, including QB7, QB2, and QB6 finishes. The Texans have struggled in the secondary all year and following the injury to J.J. Watt and trade of Jadeveon Clowney, their pass rush has been in the tanks as well. With such a great matchup, Tannehill should have no problem finishing as a QB1 in the fantasy semifinals.

Gardner Minshew (15% Owned)

This one is filled with risk, but scared money doesn’t make money. This has everything to do with the matchup and nothing to do with how the Jaguars offense has played. Gardner Minshew gets the Raiders this week, who have allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks on the year. For what it’s worth, I don’t hate Derek Carr on the other side, or if you need another option, Mitchell Trubisky faces the Packers and has looked competent over the last couple weeks.
