The NFL season is a third of the way through, and it seems as if, in this year of dodged landmines, as we watch almost weekly, a new starting quarterback finds their way onto the injured list. While it’s making it harder to narrow down sneaky streamer quarterbacks, there are still some opportunities to be had, where we can attempt to pick up lesser-viewed options and play them in better matchups. Last week’s anticipated streamer of the week was Tyson Bagent, and unfortunately that game plan went up in smoke incredibly quickly. Bagent was only able to complete 12 passes for 81 yards and ended the game with 19 fewer yards than third-stringer Case Keenum. Unfortunately, second option Deshaun Watson was not much better, managing only one passing touchdown near the tail end of the game, along with 155 passing yards against a Jets team that has stumbled for most of the season. The most exciting part of the week was watching Jalon Daniels make the most of his opportunity, taking on the Dallas Cowboys in front of his mother in the stands, beating them in a primetime Thursday matchup, and throwing for 189 yards and a touchdown. Let’s dive into what we think is best for streamers in Week 6 of this NFL Season.
Jameis Winston, New York Giants

| NO | 5/5 | 6% | 14.61 |
Jameis Winston is one of the most exciting NFL players to watch for numerous reasons, from his obsession with soccer to “eating the W.” What looks like a slightly humbling waiver wire may actually have some Saints’ color gold on it, as Winston may be one of the best players to give a week to win your matchup. Winston will head into a Saints matchup coming off a game against the Commanders where he threw for 326 yards and 3 touchdown passes, playing from behind for the majority of the game. The game ended in a tie on a bumbling overtime possession, but we could have seen exactly what Winston needed to remember his old tricks. Winston doesn’t seem like the kind of player to hold much animosity, but coming into a matchup against his former Saints squad, that could be as good a reason as any for Winston to show up in this matchup and remind this Saints team what they used to have.
The Saints are ranked 6th worst thus far this season via PFF, and seem to be willing to go into every game destined for a shootout. For a quarterback that has nothing to lose and an entire season to test his limits, Winston could come into this Saints matchup with a chip the size of New York and throw all over this Saints defense, which has given up the second most points (151) on the year, only behind the Arizona Cardinals. Winston also has the added luxury of a running game that is starting to implode on itself, as lead back Cam Skattebo was a detriment to the Giants offense for a majority of the game against Washington, forcing the team to switch off between some smattering of Najee Harris, Tyrone Tracy, and Skattebo throughout the game. At one point during their struggles, we saw the team drawing all three out on a failed 4-down goal-line package for a carry each. With the Saints showing their hand thus far as a team that can be scored against, and one that the team may want to lean less on their faltering running game, it spells a long day ahead for Winston.
Snoop Huntley, Baltimore Ravens

| @Cle | 3/5 | 3 | .54 |
The Baltimore Ravens have a backup plan that throws the same style of quarterback at opponents with a lowered floor and a mysterious ceiling. Snoop Huntley is the player in the wings when Lamar Jackson went down. Huntley has had quite the career, bouncing off practice squads and various NFL teams before his third stint with the Ravens, which he’s currently entering. Huntley has had quite the mixed bag of performances, but we’re hopeful that last week’s matchup against the Falcons on Sunday Night was a new tool in the belt, and something to be fleshed out. Michael Penix and Huntley exchanged blows, with Huntley finishing the night with 201 passing yards and 20 rushing yards, able to show up at the end of the game and make it a point that the Ravens may have something in Huntley we’ve never fully seen. Huntley will be on call for this weekend, as Jackson is nearing a return, but this matchup is tantalizing given the track record the Browns have so far against the run. Huntley put up 20 yards last week on the ground, but the Browns thus far are the third-worst team in run protection, and will likely allow a large amount of rushing yards in favor of allowing large chunks of passing to Zay Flowers or Rashod Bateman.
Between the blistering and aggressive run style of Derrick Henry, and the top-off receiving potential of Flowers, this Ravens squad could give the division matchup a large ceiling for Huntley or Jackson, while Huntley is largely being undersold given the potential he doesn’t get the start. This seems worth the chance of stashing Huntley in leagues of 12 teams and up with bye weeks and starters down.
Aaron Rodgers, Pittsburgh Steelers
| Opponent | Matchup Rating | Yahoo! Roster % | Proj. Pts |
| @TB | 4/5 | 27 | 16.80 |
This seems like a fever dream, as Aaron Rodgers has been seemingly on a retirement tour for what seems like a decade. While this can be true, it can also be true that Rodgers has seemingly decided to care for one more year, and in turn the Steelers seem to have ascended at the right time, as the AFC is a wide-open race with the Steelers now in the running as a playoff-capable squad. The Steelers started their season with 23 points combined over their first two weeks; however, in the past 3 weeks they’ve scored more than 27 points and seem to have found an offense that is working, focusing on specific aspects of their offense in favor of ground-and-pound boredom. Rico Dowdle went out of the backfield in week 2 against the Patriots, facing a toe injury that has kept him out of every game since. What seemed like a potential hang-up has been everything but, as the team has leaned into the elusiveness and burst of Jaylen Warren, and consistent usage and confidence in Pat Freiermuth.
In Week 5, the game plan seemed to have finally locked in, and it showcases a runway for Rodgers’ numbers that could be not only a sneaky streamer, but potential for a top-10 quarterback in a season where everyone is facing injuries. Rodgers was able to pepper Jaylen Warren with ease, as the all-purpose back finished the game with almost 40 percent of Rodgers’ passing yardage. In Week 6, the team will be without Roman Wilson, who is coming off a finger injury that could sideline him for weeks to come, which helped to propel the rookie Germie Bernard, who was a hyped up name that didn’t truly flesh out until this past week when Wilson departed. While it’s not enough to fully draw data from one game, it’s a sign showcasing that this Steelers team may have more options to go to than many anticipated after the first 2 weeks of the season. While the Bucs team the Steelers face in Week 6 come into the game with a relatively average defense across the board, what has given them the most trouble so far has been their inability to stop the rush. With Warren looking arguably the best he’s ever been, the running game being utilized early could help keep this Bucs defense on their toes, allowing Rodgers ample time to spread the ball around to all of his targets. Don’t be surprised if Rodgers finishes somewhere between 5-12 at quarterback this week.
