Separating himself ahead of the pack in the rookie quarterback class, Mac Jones once again delivered near-perfect execution of Josh McDaniels‘ playbook in the Patriots’ convincing win over the Titans. This beautifully lofted back shoulder throw to Kendrick Bourne in the back corner of the end zone for the touchdown was Jones’ best throw for the season so far. The sky is the limit for this impressive signal caller.

A connection that Miami Dolphins fans will hope rings out every week for a long time to come. Second-year quarterback Tua Tagovailoa finding rookie Jaylen Waddle in the endzone for the score. This was one of a handful of throws from Tua that could have been included, incidentally all of them went to Waddle.

The Raiders brought DeSean Jackson to Las Vegas to do exactly this, link up with his quarterback on deep balls for touchdowns. Derek Carr doing brilliantly to step up in the pocket and hold his throw until Jackson is in full stride. The execution of the throw to the outside of the cornerback allows him to break the coverage and turn upfield without losing stride. A perfect throw.

This is a dream come true for all Colts fans. Ever since the departure of Andrew Luck, Indianapolis has waited for a quarterback to unleash downfield to its lightening fast young receivers. Some quarterbacks you just really miss when they go on a bye week. Joe Burrow was one of those. Luckily, we got a smorgasbord of throws from the former number one overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft as the Bengals embarrassed the Steelers. This impressive connection with Tee Higgins on third and long is even more flashy when you consider the low snap and need for Burrow to scan the field quicker to pick his best option. The throw is something special.

Josh Allen to Emmanuel Sanders

We will just sit back and marvel at this throw again and again until we get to see Josh Allen throw again. On third down, just before the half, from the opposite hash marks, a back shoulder throw to the outside of the cornerback. Wow, just wow. Emmanuel Sanders doing superbly to haul it in whilst losing his footing as he turned back on his route.
