The Best QB Throws: Week 3

Your weekly dose of phenomenal throws from across the NFL

Every week we will bring you a selection of the best throws from quarterbacks across the NFL. Did you see an amazing throw worthy of inclusion? If so, you can tweet @TheQBList on Twitter to let us know and we’ll give you a shout-out here in the article if your tip makes the cut.

Josh Allen to Stefon Diggs

A remarkable throw on the run from Bills quarterback extraordinaire Josh Allen, who after a disappointing Week 1 has stepped up to improve week-on-week. Stefon Diggs does a great job to keep moving on the broken play before making himself an option for an unlikely catch.

Patrick Mahomes to Justin Watson

The master of the position, Patrick Mahomes was locked in to his work against a hapless Bears defense at the weekend – this bucket throw on the run deep downfield to Justin Watson was next level. What. A. Throw. At least they thought so in NFL México.

Kenny Pickett to Calvin Austin III

The legend of King Kenny Pickett is growing in Pittsburgh as he lead his team confidently to a second win of the season against the Raiders. Second year Speedster Calvin Austin III adds another dimension to this offense and Pickett enjoyed unleashing his arm to hit the wideout in stride for a game-defining 71-yard score.

Sam Howell to Curtis Samuel

There is no doubt about it, Sam Howell had a rough weekend against an inspired Bills defense that prayed on his inexperience. Still, there were flashes of brilliance and potential for the sophomore quarterback as he battled hard to get his team back in the contest. Curtis Samuel popping up for a long grab, who knew!

CJ Stroud to Tank Dell

The most impressive rookie performance of the week was Texans franchise quarterback CJ Stroud, who balled out in Houston’s shock win over the Jaguars. His burgeoning chemistry with rookie Tank Dell is exciting to watch, they have connected for 15 catches and 251 yards over the first three games.

Desmond Ridder to Drake London

Finally, Desmond Ridder notched the most passing attempts by a quarterback (38) in the Arthur Smith era. Sadly most of the more effective throws came to get out of pressure in his own territory rather than punishing teams down near the red-zone. If he can continue to develop with accuracy like this though, he’ll do well. Drake London going up for his quarterback.

Justin Herbert to Mike Williams

Justin Herbert‘s fantastic start to the season has been overshadowed by his team’s limitations in losing in one-score games. However, the Chargers set that right with a win over the Vikings in a tight contest. Mike Williams, who sadly suffered an ACL injury, laid out to grab this ball from his quarterback who hurled this from his own end-zone. Wow!

Tua Tagovailoa to De’von Achane

I couldn’t leave it out! The sublime gloriousness of this no look pass from Dolphins superstar Tua Tagovailoa to rookie De’von Achane was the standout moment of Miami’s 70-burger!
