Through the Wire: Top Waiver Wire Adds for Week 14

A great draft can make a great team, but leagues are won on waivers.

Top Players to Add in Week 14

A great draft can make a great team, but leagues are won on the waiver wire. Injuries happen, top draft picks become busts, and no names become household names. Successfully navigating the waiver wire will lead to a winning season.

As a reminder, we’ll be covering Waivers every Tuesday morning right here on football.pitcherlist.com. You can also catch our Waiver Wire show with Brian Hartman (aka @TooMuch_Brian) on the Waiver podcast every Tuesday morning and the Start/Sit podcast every Thursday morning, wherever you listen to podcasts.

Here are my top five targets, as well as some honorable mentions, to help you win through the wire this week.

An important thing to consider: this article focuses on players who are rostered in 50% or fewer of leagues. There could be players rostered in over 50% of leagues that are available in your league. Be vigilant; watch your league’s Free Agency pool and look for players who were given up on too early.

TOP FIVE WAIVER ADDS FOR WEEK 14

1. Devaughn Vele – There are plenty of solid receivers to add on waivers this week, but the one that stands out to me most is Devaughn Vele. Vele had his best game of the season in Week 13, catching all eight of his targets for 93 yards and a touchdown. Notably, Vele’s snap share has increased drastically following the departure of Rashid Shaheed, averaging 88% of snaps over the Saints’ last three games. With Alvin Kamara on the mend and Chris Olave dealing with back spasms, the increased role for Vele may stick around. The Buccaneers present a plus matchup for Vele in Week 14, making him a solid FLEX play for managers looking to navigate bye weeks or injuries in Week 14. He’s one of my favorite WR targets this week.

2. Adonai Mitchell – Well, well, well, how the turntables. Normally, a trade to the Jets would be a death knell for fantasy purposes, but Adonai Mitchell is making the most of his change of scenery. Mitchell posted an impressive 8/102/1 line on 12 targets in Week 13, accounting for more than half of Tyrod Taylor‘s passing prodcution. The Dolphins present a fairly challenging matchup in Week 14, as they allow the eighth-fewest points to opposing receivers, but Mitchell is a boom/bust type of player worth adding if you need some upside to help you into the playoffs.

3. Brenton Strange – Season 5 of Stranger Things is underway, but there’s nothing upside down about Brenton Strange‘s role in the Jaguars’ passing offense. Since returning from IR, Strange has climbed to an 84% snap share in just his second week back and has a combined eight catches on nine targets for 138 yards and a touchdown in those two games, putting him at TE4 during that span. Strange is available in tons of leagues and is my top TE target for the rest of the season, both as a fill-in for George Kittle owners this week and for managers looking to bolster their tight end spot during the fantasy playoffs.

4. Blake Corum – It’s still surprising to me when I see how low Blake Corum‘s rostership is across platforms. Not only is he  Kyren Williams‘ clear-cut handcuff in an excellent Rams offense, but he’s getting solid enough volume in his own right, even with Williams healthy. Corum led the Rams with 81 rushing yards in Week 13 and scored his second touchdown of the season while Williams was briefly checked out for an ankle injury. While the Rams’ RB1 insists the ankle isn’t anything to worry about, Corum is worth an add in case the injury is reaggravated or he earns a larger workload moving forward. I wouldn’t quite start Corum in Week 14, but the Cardinals do present a favorable matchup if you’re in a pinch.

5. Devin Singletary – We have a late addition to our leading waiver adds with Devin SingletaryTyrone Tracy Jr. left Monday Night Football with a hip injury and did not return, paving the way for Singletary to lead the backfield in touches and score his third rushing touchdown in as many weeks. With the Giants on bye in Week 14, we likely won’t get any information in terms of Tracy’s availability until next Wednesday. But, if Singletary is the last man standing for Week 15’s game against the Commanders, he gets a favorable matchup and should have plenty of volume. The Commanders allow the third-most points to opposing RBs. Singletary is a worthwhile stash if you have the bench space, especially if you’re already locked into a playoff spot.

Others Receiving Votes

Isaac TeSlaa, DET (1% ESPN, 1% Yahoo!) – The Lions may be without Amon-Ra St. Brown on Thursday, which could open the door for rookie Isaac TeSlaa to increase his role. After St. Brown left the Thanksgiving matchup against the Packers, TeSlaa caught two targets for 35 yards and a touchdown. He could be in for an increased workload against an exploitable Cowboys secondary.

Tyler Shough, NO (5% ESPN, 7% Yahoo!) – Pickings are slim for waiver wire QBs at this point in the season, so we’re focusing on matchups to find the best bets. Enter Tyler Shough, who has thrown for multiple TD passes in two of his last three games and now gets a Buccaneers defense that allows the third-most points to quarterbacks. A solid Superflex streamer, but I’d avoid him in single QB formats if possible.

Chris Rodriguez Jr., WAS (12% ESPN, 24% Yahoo!) – Chris Rodriguez Jr. once again operated as the Commanders’ lead back in Week 13 and scored his fourth touchdown of the season. He’s still only caught one pass this year, and the workload in this backfield has fluctuated mightily in 2025, but the offense could also get a boost with Jayden Daniels potentially making his return in Week 14.

Defense Wins Championships

Miami Dolphins (20% owned) – The Dolphins get to face the Jets in Week 14, and while New York’s offense may be better with Tyrod Taylor at the helm, it’s not a matchup to be scared about.

Tennessee Titans (4% owned) – It’s a case of stoppable force meets moveable object as the Titans head to Cleveland to face Shedeur Sanders.

Washington Commanders (5% owned) – The Commanders will get the benefit of facing either Max Brosmer or Nine in Week 14, giving them a solid chance for a boom week.
