NOTE: Players mentioned will be owned in 40% or less of ESPN leagues. MUST ADD will be a recommended add in all leagues. MAYBE ADD is for those in 12 team leagues or deeper. DEEP ADD is for those in 14+ team leagues.
QUARTERBACKS
No QB’s this week.
RUNNING BACKS
Austin Ekeler (Los Angeles Chargers) – 2% OWNED – MAYBE ADD
If it weren’t for a costly late game fumble, we may be talking about Ekeler as the Chargers new RB to own this week. Even with the fumble, Ekeler has looked like the better back between him and Melvin Gordon, and the coaching staff seemed to agree, giving Ekeler key 4th quarter snaps until his fumble. He still is my favorite upside add this week and should continue to find RB2/Flex value in PPR leagues.
Jamaal Williams (Green Bay Packers) – 2.7% OWNED – MAYBE ADD
Filling in for Aaron Jones and Ty Montgomery after both went down early with injuries, Williams totaled 20 carries on Sunday with the Packers in clock killing mode, but did not fair all that well, just totaling 67 yards on the ground. Still, he will be the lead back for this offense for a week or two at the very least, and figures to be in a timeshare with Montgomery once he returns.
Rex Burkhead (New England Patriots) – 11.7% OWNED – MAYBE ADD
Burkhead has been a valuable swiss army knife for the Patriots since returning from his rib injury in week 7, doing a little bit of everything. This is still a patriots backfield that is rotating 3 backs fairly evenly, but right now the two to own are Burkhead and Dion Lewis. Burkheads touches are on the rise (7, 11, 13) and his use in the passing game makes him worth an add in most PPR leagues.
Semaje Perine (Washington Redskins) – 6.1% OWNED – MAYBE ADD
With Rob Kelley out once again, it’s time to take another look at Perine. He didn’t do anything earlier in the season when Kelley was out to suggest he is a must start player, but an RB locked in to 10+ touches a week is always worth an add.
Elijah McGuire (New York Jets) – 14.9% OWNED – MAYBE ADD
McGuire surprisingly out snapped Bilal Powell on Sunday as well as out produced him. Matt Forte looks likely to miss a few more weeks, so McGuire is back on the radar as a Flex option with limited upside.
Rod Smith (Dallas Cowboys) – 14.5% OWNED – MAYBE ADD
Despite the hype leading into the game, Smith only managed 29 yards on 7 touches, but he’s clearly ahead of Darren McFadden and it looks like he will be able to contribute in the passing game with Ezekiel Elliot out.
WIDE RECEIVERS
Corey Davis (Tennessee Titans) – 34.4% OWNED – MUST ADD
Davis continues to see his snaps and targets increase, leading the team at the position this weekend. He should continue to play a big part in the teams passing attack as the clear-cut most talented receiver on the roster, and has the most upside on this list.
Corey Coleman (Cleveland Browns) – 11% OWNED – MAYBE ADD
Coleman will return to action this week and should be plugged right back into the starting lineup. The Browns havn’t produced any fantasy relevant receivers this year, but Deshone Kizer is coming off his best game of the season and hopefully continues to trend in the right direction for Colemans sake.
Dede Westbrook (Jacksonville Jaguars) – 3.7% – DEEP ADD
Westbrook should finally come off IR this week, which is a big plus for the Jaguars after losing Allen Hurns this week to an ankle injury. Westbrook has shown big play ability in college and should slot right in as the Jags #2 receiver now, making him an intriguing dart throw flex option.
TIGHT END
No TE’s this week.
