Waiver Wire: Week 13 Priority Adds Under 50% Owned

Matt Dean is here to let you know who the priority adds are heading into Week 13 waivers.

Happy Tuesday Fantasy Footballers and welcome to Week 13. I am Matt Dean (@MattDeanQBList) and I am here to help you recover from Week 12 with your priority adds from the waiver wire this week.

We did it. In my 16 team league that has brought me an injury riddled season, I locked up the last Wild Card spot last week and will be taking on the 3 seed come Week 14. With that being said, I hope that you are still in the mix in your league as well, and if so, you probably are in need of some help on the Waiver Wire, or you need to block someone else from picking up someone on the wire. No matter where you find yourself, kudos to you for making it this far. And even more pats on the back are in order for those of you that are eliminated from your playoffs, but are still active. There is a special place for you.

This week we are all finally back to full strength. No more bye weeks to worry about. Hopefully, no injuries either. It is the last week for most of us to make that final push for the playoffs or improve our seeding within the playoffs. Whatever you are playing for, let’s hop right into the priority adds for Week 13

The ownership percentage is based on Yahoo Fantasy Leagues.

Priority Adds

QB – Sam Darnold, New York Jets (39% Owned)

Sam Darnold is on a tear, to say the least. Taking advantage of a cupcake schedule down the stretch, Darnold finished with 315/2 through the air, and added another score on the ground to go along with 16 yards rushing. Now set to face Cincinnati and Miami in consecutive weeks, Darnold is a potential top ten play for must win games in Weeks 13 & 14. If you have been streaming and somehow made it in or have a chance at playoffs, this should be your QB for the next two weeks.

FAAB Budget: 10%

Honorable Mention: Ryan Tannehill (26% Owned)

RB -Rashaad Penny, Seattle Seahawks (21% Owned)

Out of nowhere, Rashaad Penny hung 129 yards and a touchdown on the Eagles in Week 12. With Chris Carson putting the ball on the ground on back-to-back carries in this one, further magnifying his demons with holding on to the football, Penny took advantage in a big way, ripping off a huge 58 yard scamper for a touchdown. Now with the most untrustworthy coach in football telling us that it may be a more even split in carries, Penny has the opportunity to solidify himself in his role heading into the fantasy playoffs. A trade deadline hot topic, Penny should be added everywhere, even if it is out of speculation, as he is an instant flex option for teams that need him.

FAAB Budget – 25%

RB – Bo Scarborough, Detroit Lions (44% Owned)

Last week I suggested you go grab Bo Scarborough, and all he did was total 98 yards on 18 carries. A modest PPR line, sure, but it was promising to see him handle nearly all of the work for the Lions and solidify himself as the workhorse for the rest of the season. Now getting a suddenly vulnerable Chicago Bears front after Akiem Hicks went down, Scarborough looks like a lock for 15-plus carries and we hope he can fall into the end zone to prop up his overall stat line this week. He is an instant plug-and-play flex option for Week 13

FAAB Budget: 20%

Honorable Mentions: Alexander Mattison, Gus Edwards, Raheem Mostert, Tony Pollard, Benny Snell

WR – Randall Cobb, Dallas Cowboys (30% Owned)

If you watched the Dallas vs New England game like I did, you know that it was an ugly game. Terrible offense, misty rain coming down the entire game, and poor QB play for the majority of the afternoon. One thing that did work, however, was Randall Cobb. Putting together a respectable PPR day, Cobb shined through the mist with 4/86, which is spectacular given the conditions. He has a tough matchup this week on paper, but one that he can take advantage of as the Bills top corners will be locked up on Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup. The slot man should once again post a healthy PPR flex stat line for you this week. Oh and by the way, this is the third week in a row he has been on here, so please listen to me and PICK HIM UP ALREADY!

FAAB Budget: 15%

WR – Cole Beasley, Buffalo Bills (29% Owned)

A top 90 PPR player this season thus far, Cole Beasley has backed up the big payday he was given from the Buffalo Bills. His solid season continued this week by catching 6/9 targets for 76 yards and one touchdown against the Broncos. This week he gets Dallas, who boast a top flight pass defense, but one that Beasley will certainly get peppered with more targets. Someone who has been featured here before, Beasley continues to show that in PPR, even the little guys can help out in a big way.

FAAB Budget: 12%

Honorable Mentions: Mecole Hardman, AJ Brown, Ryan Griffin (TE)
