Waiver Wire: Week 14 Priority Adds Under 50% Owned

Happy Tuesday Fantasy Footballers and welcome to Week 14. I am Matt Dean (@MattDeanQBList) and I am here to help you recover from Week 13 with your priority adds from the waiver wire this week.

Congratulations! In most leagues, it is the first week of playoffs, and if you are reading this then I am sure you made it and have a fighting chance to make some money or earn bragging rights. This is a big week, and hopefully, you live in a world where managers that are eliminated from playoffs don’t pick up players anymore. If that is the case, the pool is even slimmer, and the time has come to spend the rest of your budget if you have FAAB left. I won’t be including percentages of FAAB this week, because budgets are out the window and it is win or go home.

Wherever you find yourself seeded in your playoff field, let’s hop right into the priority adds for Week 14.

Priority Adds

 

QB – Kyle Allen, Carolina Panthers (19% Owned)

If you find yourself in need of a quarterback this week, look no further than Kyle Allen. Coming off back to back 3 TD performances, Allen has shown the ability to shine against lackluster pass defenses. This week he gets Atlanta and could outscore the likes of Derek Carr, Jared Goff, and Jameis Winston.

 

RB – Alexander Mattison, Minnesota Vikings (32% Owned)

When Dalvin Cook went down in visible discomfort and went straight to the locker room, Alexander Mattison owners everywhere thought that they had gotten a league winner in the rookie running back. Well, early reports are that Cook may be able to play in Week 14, but with injuries of this manner, seemingly a joint sprain in his shoulder, there is always the possibility of limitation, reinjury, or a late scratch. If Mattison ends up with the starting role at any point in the playoffs and is on your roster, you have an immediate high-end RB1 and a potential league-winner, especially if you get him this week against the Lions.

 

RB – Raheem Mostert, San Francisco 49ers (13% Owned)

Raheem Mostert handled 21 touches to Tevin Coleman’s 5 which shows just who the explosive option in this backfield is. Well, that is unless Matt Breida can return. Regardless, Mostert pushed ahead and looked the part this week, going over 150 total yards and dominating the touches. Even if Breida returns, Mostert has flex appeal. If not, he is on the RB2 map this week.

 

RB – Benny Snell, Pittsburgh Steelers (32% Owned)

With James Connor already set to miss next week, Benny Snell is set to make another start this week and gets a mouthwatering match up with the Arizona Cardinals. He is coming off a 16/63/1 performance and is set to feast this week as well. Hop in as Snell is on the RB2 map this week as he looks to continue his hot hand as the bell cow for the Steelers.

 

WR – Anthony Miller, Chicago Bears (14% Owned)

Coming off a huge 9/140 performance on Turkey Day, Anthony Miller is set to face the Dallas defense that has been pretty stingy, giving up 6.9 Y/A. Miller has been decent of late, and if you need a fill-in for a flex in a deep league, he is probably the top WR on the market right now.

 

WR – Cole Beasley, Buffalo Bills (32% Owned)

A top 90 PPR player this season thus far, Cole Beasley has backed up the big payday he was given from the Buffalo Bills. His solid season continued this week by showing out in Dallas against his former team. If you need a WR, you could do much worse, as Beasley is a viable flex for anyone moving forward. He just put up 6/110/1 against Dallas and has a matchup with a decent Ravens defense this week.
