Happy Tuesday Fantasy Footballers. First things first, please follow me on Twitter. Yes, I know I have only one post and yes I have not that many followers, but I just launched my twitter last week and its about to take off (with your help, of course).

After that, all I have to say is…oh oh oh FitzMagic…you know…never believe it’s not so! Ah yes, I bet you know what is coming in this article. The return of Ryan FitzMagic was, for lack of a better word…magical. With Jameis Winston displaying a new level of crab-leg stealing suckiness, the reigns were turned over to the bearded wonder and a double digit comeback was almost completed. More on that later. As much as I would like this to be an entire article about FitzMagic, you all have games to win people. We are headed for the home stretch with plenty of bye weeks on deck.

As my team heads into Week 9 at 6-2, I hope you found good fortune as well in Week 8. It was a wild week. Plenty of owners won because of Todd Gurley and certainly many lost because he decided not to score an extra touchdown for his owners, and here is what he had to say on that:

Additionally, we saw the Patriots be in a too-close-for-comfort game with the Bills, the Browns firing Hue Jackson in the midst of his most successful season as a Browns HC, Adam Thielen tie Megatron for most consecutive games with 100 yards receiving(8), and plenty of people dropping two touchdown performances, 13 skill players to be exact.

On vacation this week are Bengals, Cardinals, Colts, Eagles, Giants, Jaguars. That is a lot of big names listed there. In my league where I own Joe Mixon and Saquon Barkley, #blessed, I am searching for streamers of the highest quality this week. Let’s hop into our Week 9 Priority Adds and see who will help you win this week and moving forward.

Priority Adds

QB – Ryan FitzMagic, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (8% Owned)

Was there any question? Those of you that follow me to any extent know that I was rubbing beards with this guy every chance I got when he was starting. Well…news flash…

Yes he is taking on the Panthers and no, I do not care. Just like that kids dad told me that football wasn’t a real man’s sport, you cannot tell me that you should not instantly consider FitzMagic a plug and play starter for your team if you have a need. Heck, I would even throw him in over the likes of Matthew Stafford and Big Ben, two guys that are highly owned and not as productive. Listen, I know week 4 was brutal, but all I am saying is give him one more chance, I don’t think you will be disappointed with the results.

RB – Peyton Barber, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (46% Owned)

Remember two weeks ago when I told you to go get Marlon Mack? Man am I jealous if you got him. He only went out and put up another ho-hum 30 point PPR day in Week 8. In steps the RB suggestion for this week, Peyton Barber. No, he will not give you the same results that Mack has, but Ronald Jones did just suffer a hamstring injury so there is literally no competition for touches in the Bucs backfield. Volume is king in fantasy, and he is going to get at least 13-15 touches a game for the foreseeable future. He turned 19 carries into 85 yards and a touchdown last week. You could do worse with what is lurking on waivers this week.

WR – Keke Coutee, Houston Texans (20% Owned)

It is rare that I suggest a player that just sat out with a hamstring injury, but Keke Coutee is quickly reemerging as a hot topic this week. After Will Fuller went down with a torn ACL, Coutee is instantly the WR2 on this team that loves to air it out. He will benefit from the consistent double teams put on DeAndre Hopkins and has already shown he can handle heavy volume. I think this one could be a starter in your flex for the remainder of the season barring injury. I’m willing to spend the most money on Coutee this week than any other player.

FAAB: 20%

Also consider: David Moore – SEA, Tyrell Williams – LAC

TE – Bring out your dead!

Seriously…as I pore through the names, the famous Monte Python line comes to mind. There is literally nothing out there but dart throws. Whether you have to pick up and start Ed Dickson, Vance McDonald, Ricky Seals-Jones, Cameron Brate, or someone else, your guess is as good as mine, because they literally all have potential to score zero points or find the end zone. Remember that children’s game, eenie-meenie-miney-mo (is that even how you spell it?)? Well close your eyes and see who you land on and start them.

FAAB: Don’t waste your money.

Wildcard of the Week

WR – DeVante Parker, Miami Dolphins (14% owned)

Yes, I know. DeVante Parker has soured many people over the years for good reason, but he is coming off of a 6/134 game receiving. Sure, a big chunk of that came on a bizarre play where the ball was pinball into the air and landed 20 yards downfield in his arms, but still. I want to see if he sticks in the game plan, or even is traded before the trade deadline. I’m willing to have him ride the bench to see one more week.
