The final week of preseason is over, and by Tuesday evening, we’ll have 53-man rosters. We are SO CLOSE to real, meaningful football, I can taste it. This week, our What We Saw staff watched every preseason game – including the ones where none of the starters from either team played a single snap – and identified useful fantasy nuggets for the tail end of draft season. Roster cuts and trades are already abuzz throughout the NFL, and our crack team has been on top of all of it and how it impacts the fantasy landscape. Read through all of the games to get the scoop on who matters for fantasy and who might not be as relevant as you thought.
- Jaxson Dart looks like a QB1 and should bypass Russell Wilson as the starter in the Big Apple at some point this season.
- Jaydon Blue made his NFL debut but left the game after re-injuring the same ankle that kept him out up to this point. There are still question marks in the Dallas backfield.
- Is Jacory Croskey-Merritt really the early-down back in Washington? Well, he sat with the rest of the Commanders’ starters while Chris Rodriguez saw game action.
- Even though the Raiders drafted Jack Bech two rounds higher, Dont’e Thornton Jr. has been more productive throughout the preseason – and we’re pretty sure he’s passed Bech on the depth chart.
