Bills @ Rams
Final Score: Bills 37, Rams 34
Writer: Christian Otteman (@COttemanPL on Twitter)
Four Up
- Blake Corum – Punched in a touchdown AND got some passing-down work. Arrow trending up. Now if only he could get a few more touches…
- Josh Allen – Led the Bills to a signature win in primetime on the road.
- Puka Nacua – Is 17 receptions good?
- Tyler Higbee – Was the most involved tight end even with Colby Parkinson back.
Two Down
- Keon Coleman – Yes, the touchdown somewhat salvaged his day, but only two targets and one reception is underwhelming.
- Dalton Kincaid – Similarly, the two targets for Kincaid give him three back-to-back stinkers after a red-hot start to the season.
Buffalo Bills
Quarterback
Josh Allen: 12/19, 210 Yards, TD, INT | 10 Carries, 121 Yards, TD
If you went to sleep early facing the Josh Allen owner thinking you were in the clear, you may have had a rude awakening on Tuesday. After a rocky first half, Allen went ballistic in the last third of the game, mostly by using his legs to pick up several huge gains and getting yet another goal line rushing touchdown. After James Cook fumbled away a chance to take the lead in overtime, Allen used his legs to get the Bills within field goal range to set up their win. A definitive performance for one of the league’s best in primetime to earn his first career overtime win.

Running Back
James Cook: 25 Carries, 111 Yards, 2 TD, Fumble (LOST) | 1 Target, 1 Reception, 7 Yards
It’s mostly a great performance in the box score, but Cook would be the first to tell you that he needs to do a better job with ball security. Cook’s overtime fumble nearly cost the Bills the game, but he was bailed out by a blocked field goal and, to his credit, was a huge part of getting the game to overtime in the first place. Cook looked powerful and decisive in his runs against a tough defense and is a locked-in RB1 every week.

Ty Johnson: 0 Carries | 4 Targets, 4 Receptions, 72 Yards
If there’s any drawback to Cook’s game, it’s that he doesn’t get much passing down work, and that’s mostly due to the fact that Johnson has cornered the market in that respect for the Bills. Johnson had a couple of big plays and was the Bills’ leading receiver for most of the game, but his role isn’t consistent enough to trust as a fantasy starter.
Ray Davis: 2 Carries, 2 yards | 1 Target, 1 Reception, 31 Yards
Wide Receiver/Tight End
Khalil Shakir: 3 Targets, 3 Receptions, 80 Yards
In the absence of DJ Moore, Shakir had a very quiet night until a 57-yard gain in overtime put the Bills in position to take the lead. He was just tripped up to fall short of taking it to the house. It was a low-volume passing night for Buffalo overall, but Shakir has delivered solid FLEX production while Moore has been out and should continue to do so if Buffalo’s WR1 misses more time.

Dalton Kincaid: 2 Targets, 1 Reception, 7 Yards, 2 Point Conversion
Kincaid scored a crucial two-point conversion for the Bills to go up a full touchdown in the fourth but was otherwise quiet for the third straight week. With the Bills primarily operating through a ground attack, we saw more of Dawson Knox and Jackson Hawes operating as blockers, which left fewer opportunities for Kincaid and the rest of the team’s pass catchers. I view this as a great buy-low opportunity for Kincaid, who should have plenty of spike weeks for this offense over the rest of the season.
Keon Coleman: 2 Targets, 1 Reception, 7 Yards, TD
He is who we thought he is! A near goose egg in the box score was salvaged by a third-quarter touchdown to take the lead for Buffalo, but that wouldn’t last long. After a breakout Week 4 performance, Coleman came crashing back down to earth in Week 5. Whether or not DJ Moore returns in Week 6 will determine if there’s a desperation FLEX case to be made for Coleman, but he’s as boom/bust as you can get (advantage: bust).
Dawson Knox: 3 Targets, 1 Reception, 6 Yards
Knox was targeted in the end zone on each of the Bills’ first two drives, but couldn’t come down with either one (even the one that hit him in the hands).
Skyler Bell: 2 Targets, 0 Receptions
Los Angeles Rams
Quarterback
Matthew Stafford: 40/54, 383 Yards, 3 TD
I’m not saying Stafford isn’t great – he very much deserved the 2025 MVP award – but life is certainly easier when you’re working with Puka Nacua and Davante Adams around the goal line. Stafford’s first two touchdown passes came on goal line fades to the left side, once each to his top two receivers. Stafford found Adams a second time in the middle of the end zone to tie the game for the thousandth time in the fourth quarter. I’m a bit surprised the Rams didn’t go for two to win the game with just a few seconds left on the clock, but that’s not on Stafford. He did everything he could to win this game and made very few mistakes. His weekly ceiling remains incredibly high even without a semblance of rushing upside.
Running Back
Kyren Williams: 16 Carries, 49 yards, TD | 8 Targets, 6 Receptions, 27 Yards
What appeared to be a pedestrian day for Williams turned into another solid performance with a one-yard score to tie the game for the millionth time with just five seconds left on the clock. I might be biased as a huge Blake Corum truther, but I continue to be surprised that Williams isn’t ceding more work to the former. Williams clearly has the trust of the coaching staff and a valuable role in a high-powered offense. That’s enough to be a weekly RB1, especially with the recent uptick in pass-catching work.
Blake Corum: 5 Carries, 19 Yards, TD | 4 Targets, 3 Receptions, 53 Yards
A bit of a “welcome to the 2026 season” party for Corum, who has performed better this year than his fantasy ledger would suggest. It seems like it’s been a few straight seasons of predicting when, not if, he will take over the Rams’ backfield, but this coaching staff still loves Williams. The best we can hope for is a split closer to a 50/50 workload, but with Williams dominating touches, that doesn’t seem likely to happen anytime soon. Corum did punch in a touchdown, but his most impressive play was on a checkdown catch-and-run where he showed off impressive burst and broke a few would-be tacklers. Corum should be rostered everywhere, but it’s still difficult to trust him as a FLEX.

Wide Receiver/Tight End
Puka Nacua: 24 Targets, 17 Receptions, 138 Yards, TD | 2 Carries, 9 Yards
I’m sorry, does that say twenty-four targets?! And seventeen receptions?!?!? It’s been a weird start to the season for Nacua, but he reminded everyone why he’s one of the league’s best on Monday night. His touchdown was a beautiful catch on a perfect throw by Stafford in the back-left corner of the end zone. Nacua went quiet for a bit at the beginning of the second half but exploded in the fourth quarter scoring onslaught to produce one of the best fantasy games of his career. Top-five wide receiver. Full stop.

Davante Adams: 7 Targets, 5 Receptions, 51 Yards, 2 TD
The league’s premier goal-line wide receiver in the league did it again. Adams may have lowered his ceiling with Nacua back in the fold, but as long as Stafford is slinging the rock, he’s as good a bet as any to find the end zone. Even at the age of 33, the future hall-of-famer still has great hands and route-running ability and can be trusted in your lineups every week.

Tyler Higbee: 6 Targets, 5 Receptions, 83 Yards
It’s not sexy, but Higbee appears to be the Rams TE to stream as long as Terrance Ferguson is on IR. If you’re missing Sam LaPorta next week, Higbee is a solid plug-and-play option against the hapless Cardinals.
