What We Saw: Week 2

Recaps of every game on the Week 2 slate!

There are several things that we thought we knew after Week One, and in Week Two some of them were reaffirmed – the Green Bay Packers are good at football, for example. Some of those things were challenged – the New York Giants offense is out of sorts, for example – they came out and hung 37 points on the Dallas defense. Not everything we thought we knew ended up being true but not everything turned on its head either. Week Two contained several fun matchups, including seven one-possession games and two games decided on walk-off field goals as time expired. Here’s a handful of stars who shined brightest:

  • Jared Goff and Amon-Ra St. Brown connected for three touchdowns as the Lions poured it on the division rival Bears
  • Russell Wilson and Malik Nabers shredded the Dallas secondary but the Giants couldn’t close as the Cowboys came back for the win
  • Ja’Marr Chase bounced back with a monster game, but lost his starting quarterback to injury
  • Jonathan Taylor led the Colts to a win over the Broncos as sleeper kicker (is there such a thing?) Spencer Shrader hit the game-winning field goal
