As the heartbeat of the Bengals, Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase are the centerpieces for a franchise that desperately needs a prolonged period of success. Well, after following up a Super Bowl appearance last season with a slow start out of the gate, it looks like Burrow and Chase are ready to lead the Bengals to another winning season. They’ve righted the ship in the last two weeks against two NFC South foes, and boy have they righted it in a big way. Burrow had over 200 passing yards by the second quarter, and Chase had two touchdowns by halftime. Atlanta didn’t go away, so Burrow and co. had an entire game to light up the stat sheet, and they delivered. They’re as fun of a duo to watch as there ever has been.
Elsewhere around the league, Kenneth Walker III showed everyone that he’s HIM, while Austin Ekeler capitalized on a weak opponent and had no trouble finding the end zone. George Kittle showed up on National Tight End Day, but the 49ers got crushed by the Chiefs at home.
