2022 NFC South Preview: Fantasy Football Outlook, Sleepers, and Busts

Matt Bevins breaks down the NFC South from a fantasy football perspective.

The NFC South is an interesting specimen.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost a Conference championship, and then their starting quarterback for 40 days.

Nearby, the New Orleans Saints have always echoed an explosive message, with an awesome fanbase and high expectations, but the team is very much enigmatic, hamstrung by injuries and a pending court case.

The Atlanta Falcons have become a basement dweller, but that doesn’t stop them from having some amount of intrigue, as they’ve amped up their offense and gone in favor of a more run and gun type quarterback that will possibly help settle in an extremely young core of offensive players.

Lastly, the Panthers have a third-year coach with a brand new quarterback at the helm who is looking to draw upon his big arm and competent play for big-game playmaking.
