Houston Texans

Can Watson Take Texas?

Deshaun Watson has been hyped since his rookie year and the train keeps on rolling. A consensus top 3 quarterback in 2019, many believe Watson has what it takes to take the crown as the top QB this season. With DeAndre Hopkins back for another year in his prime and a hopeful full season from Will Fuller and Keke Coutee, Watson is poised for a big year statistically. It will be very hard to overtake the reigning champion at the position, Patrick Mahomes, but he is sure to see at least some regression. The preseason will mark a fresh start for Watson to begin his quest to be the king of Texas and the NFL at the QB position.

DeAndre Hopkins or Davante Adams?

The battle for the king at the wide receiver position this year comes down to two names, DeAndre Hopkins and Davante Adams. Both have equal, astronomical touchdown upside. Both have the incredible route-running ability. Both have fantastic hands. Both have top tier quarterbacks. In 2019 it will come down to sheer determination and health to see who comes out with the crown. My vote is on Hopkins, but with Aaron Rodgers looking to surpass his lowly 25 touchdowns from last season, Adams could approach 15+ touchdowns this season and not surprise anyone. It will be a great battle to see this season.

Green Bay Packers

Bye, Bye Mike McCarthy!

You can bet Aaron Rodgers is happy to be saying that! After butting heads with McCarthy for the past couple of years, Rodgers now has the freedom to flourish in an offense he is excited about. It will be interesting to see what style of offense Head Coach Matt LaFleur brings to Green Bay in his debut this preseason. It will be the top story to watch as we head into the regular season and see if Rodgers can get back to being the top QB in fantasy or will settle for a middle of the pack role. We are betting on a return to the top and ‘Discount Double-Check’-ing to a top 5 finish at QB.

Keeping up with the Joneses

Ever since fat-Eddie Lacy left town, there has been somewhat of a revolving door of running backs. The idea this season is that SPARQ star Aaron Jones will take over as the bell cow in Green Bay. This preseason we will be looking to see exactly what role Jamaal Williams will be taking in the offense, as he was used significantly even into last season. While both players have been a little banged up in the preseason, it will be good to see what kind of split these two will find themselves in, as a 3-down back in Green Bay would be salivating for fantasy owners and fans alike. If Aaron Jones gets the nod as the bell-cow then look at a top-eight finish at the running back position being extremely likely in 2019.
