Sit/Start 2024 Week 2: Reviewing All Fantasy Relevant Players In Every Single Game

Sit or Start recommendations for every relevant player in Week 2 of the 2024 NFL season.

Game Info

Kickoff: Sunday, September 15th, 2024, 1:00 ET

Location: Nissan Stadium, Nashville, Tennessee

Network: CBS

New York Jets

Quarterback

Aaron Rodgers: Sit, QB2

Aaron Rodgers‘ first drive looked very strong, but after that, he faded quickly. The NFL as a whole had a bit of a slow start on offense, but Rodgers looks to still be shaking off some of the rust. In Week 2, he should remain on waivers or, at most, on your bench as he faces the Tennessee Titans, who have a strong front seven and a secondary that is not as good as Caleb Williams made them look, but nothing to laugh at either.

Running Back

Breece Hall: Start, RB1

Breece Hall is never really a question as long as he is healthy because of his status as one of the few workhorse running backs in the NFL. He comes in as my RB3 this week. He plays another tough run defense in the Titans, but he should once again see 20+ touches and dominate snaps. Braelon Allen did get some limited runs and looked good, but this is Breece’s backfield. I would not be surprised to see him be one of the top target earners once again in Week 2. In Week 1, he was able to see a staggering 28.5% target share while both he and Rodgers were on the field.

Wide Receiver

Garrett Wilson: Start, WR1

Like Rodgers, Wilson started off hot and then faded in the second half of the game. The good news for Wilson is that he saw 11 targets in this one. As the only player in NFL history to see 300+ targets in his first two seasons, he should continue to be a target hog. One of the premier route runners in the NFL, you can expect Wilson to have a strong performance. No matter how good the opposing DBs are, he won’t face one all season as talented as the one he goes up against in practice (Sauce Gardner).

Tight End

Tyler Conklin: Sit

Conklin can aid fantasy managers throughout the season as a viable bye week or injury fill-in at tight end, but that is not for Week 2. He should stay out of lineups and most likely be on waivers.

Tennessee Titans

Quarterback

Will Levis: Sit, QB3

We don’t need to spend too much time here. Levis will continue to turn the ball over. In Week 2, he gets another stout secondary and is outside my top 30 players at the position.

Running Back

Tony Pollard: Sit
Tyjae Spears: Sit

Tony Pollard had a strong game against the Bears in Week 1. He saw 60% of the snaps for the Titans and racked up 20 touches. In Week 2 he faces a Jets defense that let Jordan Mason go full CMC mode on them. Pollard has an upside this week, but the talks out of Tennessee are that they want to make their rushing attack more balanced and give Tyjae Spears more looks (8 Total Touches Week 1). This is likely going to be an issue all offseason. If you HAVE to start one, Pollard gets the slight edge for me, but we may see the hot-hand approach continue to be utilized, making either back a risky play. Both players eclipsed the 5.0 yards per carry mark.

Wide Receiver

Calvin Ridley: Sit
DeAndre Hopkins: Sit

You can barely fit these guys into your lineups when they have good matchups, given how volatile Will Levis is, and this week, they have a tough matchup. Expect this game to be slower-paced and low-scoring. I don’t see either Calvin Ridley or DeAndre Hopkins getting enough to register for starting lineups this week. The Titans’ offense as a whole looks like a strong avoid.

Tight End

Chigoziem Okonkwo: Sit, TE2

Chig found the endzone in Week 1, matching his touchdown total from last season. He only saw two targets, though, and is off the fantasy radar most weeks.
