Streaming QBs: Week 13

QB List provides you with the best fantasy options at the quarterback position to stream in Week 13 of 2022.

Every week we will bring you our advice on which signal-callers have the potential to help your fantasy teams win. We will look at the previous weeks’ performances, the quarterbacks’ supporting cast, the matchup, and smart statistical insights to offer you the clearest picture of which QB to pick up from your waiver wire.

With two top eight fantasy quarterback finishes this week, we were thrilled with out selections in a tough week of options. Our top option, Derek Carr (28.80 fantasy points) finished as the eighth-best scorer at the position thanks to an overtime win for the Raiders. Carr has continued his good run thanks to his dynamic connection with Davante Adams and this was his best fantasy output of the season. Trevor Lawrence (30.94 fantasy points) stole the show in a comeback win for the Jags over the Ravens, throwing two fourth quarter touchdowns and a game-winning 2PT conversion. Lawrence has elevated himself into the top-12 conversation with his showing lately and long may that continue. It may be your last week to grab him.

Yeah, and then there was vintage Jimmy Garoppolo (15.28 fantasy points). After a solid run in which Jimmy G looked to be on the up after a four-touchdown game against the Cardinals, he crashed back down to earth with a dreadful performance supported by equally terrible play calling from Kyle Shanahan. He was lucky to have a pick brought back by penalty too. We are cooling on the 49ers quarterback this week.

Week 12 Performance

Now, let’s look at the lay of the land for Week 12. Remember, the caveat is that our recommended players for streaming are less than 70% rostered in Yahoo! leagues. The Arizona Cardinals (Kyler Murray) and Carolina Panthers (Sam Darnold) are on bye in Week 12.

Week 13 Streamers

“Arise, T-Law!”

Trevor Lawrence, Jaguars at Lions

Trevor Lawrence has thrown six touchdowns and zero turnovers in the past three weeks and is knocking on the door of the top-15 in fantasy scorers at quarterback. His poise in the pocket, clutch throws and ability to move the chains with his legs have served him well. Lawrence is indulging in his improving rapport with his receivers and rushers out of the backfield.

It’s always a shootout against the Lions these days, so we expect this to be a fruitful matchup for both quarterbacks. The Lions are giving up the most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season, so start Trevor with confidence.

“Keep Calm & Carr On”

Derek Carr, Raiders vs. Chargers

We correctly predicted a season-best performance last week for Derek Carr and that should continue against a banged-up Chargers defense who have struggled to keep offenses quiet over the last month. Giving up at least 22 points in its last three games, the Chargers are a fun team to watch but ship points and yards defensively. Carr should be able to work the ground game into pound them through the middle and chose when to pick them apart with Adams through the air.

Carr has four straight 20+ fantasy points performances. Game on!

“Once More With Feeling”

Jared Goff, Lions vs. Jaguars

This is a mix of us appreciating what Jared Goff has done for this resurgent Lions offense over the past month and really liking the matchup against the Jaguars defense. Goff has more than 15 fantasy points in nine of his 11 starts this season, including five 20+ games. His burgeoning relationship with young Amon-Ra St.Brown is hard to not admire, and the emergence of DJ Chark in the red zone and DeAndre Swift in the passing game give Goff value beyond his talent.

Shoot out! Shoot out! Shoot out! Give us what we want.
