Let’s keep it simple: the Top 4 TEs from your draft prep are still the Top 4 in Week 1, so we’re starting our studs as we always do. Brock Bowers has an especially juicy matchup against the Miami Dolphins. That said, let’s dig a little deeper for those who are streaming the TE position this season.
Dallas Goedert is my TE6 this week against the Washington Commanders. The Philadelphia Eagles are implementing a new offense this season, one that made a fantasy monster out of Tucker Kraft. Goedert is one of the few holdovers from last year. He has the established trust of his QB in his back pocket, especially in the red zone.
I’m higher on Dalton Schultz (TE13) than consensus (TE18) this week, as well. The Houston Texans lost WR Jayden Higgins for the season just a few weeks ago, and it’s going to take some time for newcomer Kayshon Boutte to learn a new offense. Expect a steady diet of targets for Schultz, who has finished as Top 12 fantasy TE (PPR) in five of his last six seasons. Schultz, who’s only rostered in 33% of Sleeper leagues, may be worth holding onto for awhile.
In deeper leagues, keep an eye on Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cade Otton, who faces a Cincinnati Bengals squad that ranked dead last in fantasy points per game to TEs in 2025. For those digging even deeper, Los Angeles Rams TE Terrance Ferguson (LAR) is an interesting, high-upside dart throw in Thursday night’s game against the San Francisco 49ers.
