QBs
Regarding quarterbacks in Week 17, having one of the elite ones is a good thing. Many have favorable matchups that should provide good value. There will be a battle between Sam Darnold versus Jordan Love and Brock Purdy versus Jared Goff, who all should finish as QB1s this week.
The Sleepers to consider are Drake Maye, Mason Rudolph, and Kenny Pickett. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts will likely miss Week 17 due to his concussion, and Kenny Pickett has some decent value against a poor Cowboys secondary.
If it hasn’t come out yet, one situation to monitor is Anthony Richardson, who has not practiced all week. This could lead to Joe Flacco returning to the field, which could completely change the landscape of the Colts’ offense and give Flacco value as a Sleeper in Week 17.
RBs
We said we needed to watch out for James Conner‘s injury in our early edition of The List. It looks like is trending towards playing in Week 17. Conner should be able to provide fantasy managers with solid RB2 value against the Rams.
It also looks like we will have Tyrone Tracy and JK Dobbins‘ potential return this week. Both running backs are getting solid matchups and could be difference-makers in your FLEX for Week 17.
There will be eyes on whether Alvin Kamara will play in Week 17, as he hasn’t practiced this week, but he does have incentives to play this week. If he can go, then he’ll have an RB2 upside. If he can’t go, trusting Kendre Miller this week will be tough. He would be, at best, a low-end RB3 value after fading out of the offense last week.
WRs
Fantasy managers are scrambling due to big changes to elite fantasy receivers. CeeDee Lamb will miss Week 17 as the Cowboys are shutting him down for the rest of the season. This means Brandin Cooks could provide some FLEX value as the WR1 as the Cowboys face off against the Eagles. Speaking of the Eagles, it seems like Jalen Hurts will miss Week 17, which will drop the value of AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith. While Brown could still hold on to that borderline WR1 value, Smith will likely fall to a mid-WR3.
The QB situation is another situation to monitor for you own any of the Colts receivers. Anthony Richardson missing due to injury would increase the value of Michael Pittman Jr. and Josh Downs to strong FLEX options in a favorable matchup.
Some players to lower expectations this week are Drake London, Courtland Sutton, Tyreek Hill, and Ladd McConkey, who all have more difficult matchups. Keep your eyes out for the status of Jaylen Waddle, Malik Nabers, and Davante Adams, who are all dealing with injuries this week at practice.
We could also be getting Chris Olave’s return for the Saints, as he practiced in full all week and had a decent matchup against the Raiders. You’ll likely won’t play him in his first game back in two months, but if you are desperate, we know the upside he brings to the field.
TEs
Week 17 TEs are off to a bad start so far with their fantasy production, aside from Travis Kelce. We can only hope that the remaining ones can help us. In Week 17, you have to start your studs and not try to get cute.
Fantasy managers dealing with David Njoku and Cade Otton missing Week 17. Look towards players like Chig Okonkwo, Dalton Kincaid, and Jake Ferguson to help your championship lineup this week.
Without further ado, let’s get to this week’s updated version of The List!
