The tight end position continues to be the biggest letdown of the entire fantasy football season. In Week 5, we lose Dallas Goedert and Sam LaPorta, so it gets ugly and will continue to be a mess throughout the bye weeks ahead.
One bright spot is Tucker Kraft for the Packers, who has taken over as Green Bay’s top option at the position. In an offense that is looking for a reliable option behind Jayden Reed, Kraft could be the player who steps up. Finishing as the TE1 in Week 4, Kraft has seen his route participation increase every week this season, and he has seen at least a 15% target share in each of the last three weeks. After Kraft, Cole Kmet has found a low-ceiling but consistent role on the Bears and faces a Panthers team this week that lacks any sort of real defensive weapons.
Briefly, to touch on the Ravens’ tight ends, Mark Andrews is droppable. The peripherals are awful, and Isaiah Likely isn’t going away. Both tight ends are low-ceiling and unreliable options. I would rather roster Likely, and Andrews is not someone I would be rushing to roster unless I am in 14-team leagues or deeper.
