The List Update for Week 7 is here. Below, you can find some quick notes on injuries and storylines that matter for this week’s games! We are at the halfway point of the fantasy football regular season. Now is the time to make moves and scrape for every point you can take. Enjoy the read, and let’s get it!

  • The one player of note at Quarterback this week is Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes has become the most talented Quarterback to play game manager in NFL history. Mahomes has yet to crack the top ten quarterbacks in a single week this season. He has also thrown at least one interception in every game thus far. The Chiefs have heavily relied on their defense to win games, and the loss of Rashee Rice is not making that any better. In 1QB leagues, there is very little reason to even keep Mahomes rostered. I know that sounds wild, but name value doesn’t help you win matchups.

  • The most inspiring story at running back this week is the return of Nick Chubb. Chubb returns after a brutal leg injury that many thought could end his career. He joins a Browns team in Week 7 that will be without Jerome Ford. In Ford’s absence, Chubb may be forced to see more touches than Cleveland originally planned. The Browns have a league-average opponent in the Bengals this week, so you can expect Chubb to be an RB2 who may be able to find the end zone.

  • Tony Pollard will benefit from no Tyjae Spears this week against the Bills, who allow the second most points to opposing running backs. He has seen over 20 touches in all but one game this season and landed in the top 15 at the position in each of those games. Expect Pollard to be leaned on heavily in this one. Fire him up as a rock-solid RB1 in Week 7.

  • DeVon Achane makes his return from the concussion protocol. He has been incredibly inefficient since Tua Tagovailoa‘s departure, along with the rest of the Miami offense. The good news for Achane is that he returns fully healthy for the first time since Week 2 against one of the league’s worst run defenses in the Indianapolis Colts. He may not hit RB1 territory this week, but he should provide high-end RB2 value in a get-right game.

  • Brian Robinson Jr. is trending towards playing after missing last week with a knee injury. He will still be limited to some degree and has not yet officially been listed as active. Robinson’s ceiling will be limited if he does play, as he will likely see fewer opportunities. In the case of Robinson playing in Week 7, both Robinson and Austin Ekeler will be RB2s this week, with Ekeler having the higher upside of the duo in a great matchup. If Robinson does end up missing, Ekeler could flirt with RB1 production against the Panthers.

  • Both Malik Nabers and Marvin Harrison Jr. should be returning this week from concussion protocol. Nabers is dealing with some groin tightness, but reports are that he was a full participant on Friday and should make a return to raining terror on opposing secondaries. The Eagles pose an improving challenge, but especially in full PPR leagues, Nabers is set it and forget it. The other heralded rookie this season, Marvin Harrison Jr., has been off to an up-and-down start, but Harrison appears unlikely to miss any game time after he suffered a concussion last week. He lands as a fringe WR1 this week but may be a victim of a slower-paced game against the Chargers’ run-heavy offense.

  • Jayden Reed will be one to monitor heading into Sunday. He is dealing with an ankle injury that may limit him and further diversify targets against the Texans in Week 7. If he does suit up, he may take a slight dip in production, but you’ll be starting him regardless. In his absence, expect all Packers pass catchers to get a small bump, but the confidence to start them will be middling at best.
