The List: Ranking Each Position for Week 9

Erik Smith releases his Week 9 fantasy football rankings ahead of your waiver wire roster decisions.

While I may be a bit partial to Joe Burrow as a Bengals fan, even I can’t help but take notice of what Justin Herbert has done this year, especially from a fantasy football perspective. Herbert ranks as the QB5 on the year averaging 24.5 points per game, Trailing only Russell Wilson, Kyler Murray, Patrick Mahomes, and an injured Dak Prescott. Over Herbert’s last four games he has ranked QB7, 4, 1, and 4, with three or more passing touchdowns in each game. With a matchup against a Raiders defense allowing the eighth-most points per game to the quarterback position, Herbert finds himself as the QB4 this week in my rankings, with legitimate potential to finish first overall.

No time this week for writeups for each position, but be sure to check out my thoughts on Week 8 on the What We Saw Podcast, and look for my analysis of every game on Thursday’s Sit/Start Podcast.
