What We Saw Roundup – Week 4

Tough week, huh? You aren’t the only one.

It was a slow start to a day full of football that eventually heated up quite a bit. The Sunday slate finished with nine one-possession games (10, if you also count Thursday night’s Pittsburgh/Cleveland game) and a ton of excitement. Both the Los Angeles Rams and Dallas Cowboys completed fourth-quarter comebacks while the Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers and Minnesota Vikings survived as the only three remaining unbeaten teams heading into Week 5.

With a handful of high-profile fantasy assets leaving their respective games early, including quarterback Lamar Jackson and wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, fantasy points may have been hard to come by for some. But not for the Fantasy managers of this week’s feature athlete, Ceedee Lamb.

Rack of Lamb

Lamb had perhaps the most perfect setup of any elite wide receiver in the history of fantasy football, despite playing against what was supposed to be one of the best NFL defenses in the league. The Houston Texans defense appeared to be focused on bracketing George Pickens, while leaving Lamb with mostly one-on-one coverage on the opposite side of the formation. Well, Lamb feasted on the matchup, posting an incredible 17 receptions on 21 targets (!!) for 189 yards and the game-winning touchdown late in the fourth quarter. Lamb’s 41.3 PPR fantasy points ranks second among all WR in single-game fantasy points this season, falling just behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s 9/155/3 performance (42.5 PPR points) against the Cardinals in Week 2.
