What We Saw: Thanksgiving Edition

Gobble Gobble!

Happy Thanksgiving! We hope everyone enjoyed a day with family, friends, or even just alone watching football if that’s what fits your fancy. I think we’re all thankful that we weren’t forced to endure a Tim Boyle-led offense for Detroit as we were instead gifted a start by Jared Goff. Goff didn’t do anything spectacular, but he was good enough to give the Lions a chance to win the game, which their defense, unfortunately, could not hold.

In the afternoon slot, we were lucky to watch a shootout between the Raiders and Cowboys which resulted in a surprising overtime victory for Las Vegas. Dallas’ offense isn’t quite the same without Amari Cooper or CeeDee Lamb, but they still very nearly pulled it out against a sneaky good Raiders team that is still in the mix for a playoff spot in the AFC. Keep an eye on Darren Waller‘s status as he may miss some time with a knee injury that resulted in him leaving the game early.

Finally, Josh Allen showed up to deliver a four TD game against a helpless Saints team that is struggling to keep their heads above water with Trevor Siemian at QB. This game was a blowout from the beginning and I probably wasn’t the only one that fell asleep at halftime after my third round of turkey and stuffing.

Read on for our recaps of all three games!
