What We Saw: Week 18

Week 18 was one of the craziest of the season thanks to Jacksonville's stout defense

The Jacksonville Jaguars shocked the football world by beating up on Carson Wentz and the Indianapolis Colts, knocking them out of playoff contention with a stunning victory. Jonathan Taylor was bottled up from the get-go and struggled to find any room to run, finishing with a disappointing 95 yards from scrimmages against what should have been one of the worst rushing defenses in the league. After a phenomenal season that even drew some MVP hype, Taylor truly went out in a whimper in a game that was seemingly out of his control from the beginning.

Meanwhile, the rest of Sunday’s action gave us plenty of entertainment both for playoff seeding and fantasy purposes alike. If your leagues had championship matchups in Week 18, you were likely very satisfied with your Austin Ekelers, your James Conners, and your Deebo Samuels‘ who all carried you through the season and also to a championship. Or, if you only played DFS in Week 18 and fired up some cheap plays hoping for a home run, you hit a grand slam with the likes of Danny AmendolaCedrick WilsonRussel Gage, and Jauan Jennings. Week 18 had a little bit for everyone, and I haven’t even mentioned Sunday Night Football!
