What We Saw: Week 2 Monday Night Edition

Defense and injuries ruled the night in two Monday Night divisional showdowns

Who saw Tony Jones Jr. coming? He stepped in admirably after Jamaal Williams went down with an injury, scoring two TDs on the ground despite inefficient numbers.

It was, unfortunately, a night full of injuries as Nick Chubb went down with a significant, season-ending injury. Jerome Ford stepped up big with 106 yards on the ground, propped up by a 69 yard run to the half yard line where he seemingly got banged up and then vultured by Pierre Strong Jr.. There were injuries all over the place in this NFC North matchup, and the first half took what felt like forever. Defense was the key for Pittsburgh as their offense struggled.

    It’s Tony Jones Jr.
Not Toby. You called him Toby about 10 times. Odd….
