What We Saw: Week 5

Recapping all of the action from the Week 5 slate!

Week 5 was one of the most interesting weeks of NFL football so far this season, including a handful of upsets, some amazing highlights and a handful of bone-headed plays that swung the tide of their respective games. Against the Miami Dolphins, Carolina Panthers running back Rico Dowdle ran over and through the defense on his way to over 200 yards rushing and a touchdown as the Panthers earned a come-from-behind victory. In Baltimore, CJ Stroud threw for four touchdown as the Texans demolished the injury-plagued Ravens. And on Sunday Night Football, the New England Patriots went into Buffalo, smashed some tables of their own and earned a walk-off victory, 23-20. Here’s who else performed around the league:

  • Carson Wentz outdueled rookie Dillon Gabriel as the Minnesota Vikings earned a win in London.
  • Rachaad White and Emeka Egbuka led the Buccaneers to a shootout victory over Sam Darnold and the Seahawks, 38-35.
  • Jake Ferguson pulled in a pair of touchdowns for the Dallas Cowboys on the way to a win over the Jets.
  • Jacory Croskey-Merritt took over the Commanders backfield to the tune of 111 yards and two scores.
