What We Saw: Week 6

The What We Saw team recaps everything you missed from Sunday's action

Alec Pierce was the hero of the day for the Indianapolis Colts, going up to make a phenomenal catch with time winding down and taking it into the end zone for the game-winning score. It was the best throw of the day from Matt Ryan, who seemingly threw the ball about 175 times en route to their victory over Jacksonville. The biggest beneficiaries were Michael Pittman and Deon Jackson, however this catch from Pierce was the one that mattered most. Huge shoutout to Michael Allio of Icon Sportswire for his fantastic photo of the catch, and to our own Justin Paradis who turned it into one of the best featured images of the year.

Elsewhere around the league, Tom Brady and the Bucs’ offense were stymied by a Pittsburgh defense that showed up to play. Kenny Pickett left the game with a concussion and was replaced by Mitch Trubisky, who came in and elevated the play of Chase Claypool into the stud that he was two years ago.

Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase put on a clinic in the 2nd half against the Saints, leading the Bengals to a much-needed win. And finally, while it wasn’t the high-scoring shootout that everyone hoped for, Josh Allen and the Bills made enough plays on both offense and defense to top the Chiefs at Arrowhead.
