What We Saw: Week 6

Recapping all of the action from the Week 6 slate!

Week 6 was a huge bummer for a lot of fantasy managers as a handful of studs either missed their game, or left with an injury. Wide receivers Puka Nacua and Emeka Egbuka both went down in game, while running backs Blake Corum and Emari Demercado missed time as well. Shoot, things got so bad that we had guys getting hurt in pre-game warm-ups (Anthony Richardson).

In what felt like a mostly lopsided week, the majority of games were decided by more than one score. In one of the most closely contested games of the week, the Los Angeles Chargers edged out the host Miami Dolphins, 29-27, behind a big game from Ladd McConkey and a breakout from Kimani Vidal. Vidal took over the backfield in the second half to finish with 18 carries, 124 rushing yards and a receiving touchdown. Here’s who else popped off the page in Week 6:

  • Bryce Young and Tetairoa McMillan connected for a pair of touchdowns while Rico Dowdle went off for a second-straight week as the Panthers beat the Cowboys.
  • George Pickens continued to operate like an alpha wide receiver in the absence of CeeDee Lamb.
  • Jaxon Smith-Njigba continued his torrid receiving pace, leading the Seahawks to a win over the Jaguars in Duval County.
  • Patrick Mahomes accounted for four total touchdowns as the Kansas City Chiefs shut down the Detroit Lions in primetime.
