Tight Ends to Know for Week 10

This week, Bye Weeks take the rookie, the truth, the one and only Brock Bowers away from us at tight end, which is a significant loss for fantasy managers this season. Also unavailable due to bye weeks will be Tucker Kraft and David Njoku. It is a tough week for a position that has left many disappointed this season. The good news is there are still options available. Two of my favorites are below.

Hunter Henry

Henry has had something of a resurgence with the switch from Jacoby Brissett to Drake Maye. He is averaging roughly eight targets per game in his last three games and has been able to bring in 20 receptions for 193 yards in that time. Henry is a great bye week fill-in, but even more, he has a strong schedule amongst tight ends to end the year and in the fantasy football playoffs. He is a great sneaky play this week and a player worth rostering the rest of the way as an injury fill-in or potentially more, depending on how Drake Maye performs in the coming weeks.

TJ Hockenson

Hockenson only played around 45% of snaps in his first game back, but I would expect this to continue to increase over the next few weeks. In Week 10, Hockenson should flirt with around 50% snap share and once again see 4-6 targets. He will benefit from playing the Jaguars, whose defense has allowed the 10th most points to opposing tight ends this season. He may be a low-floor option, but he has fringe TE1 potential in his second game back. Don’t forget that he has been a top-five tight end in each of his last two seasons and an integral part of the Vikings game plan in the Kevin O’Connell system.
