We are into the semi-finals for the fantasy playoffs. The List is ready to go for Week 16! Below are the rankings for every position and FLEX rankings.
We may have some new starting running backs going into Week 16 with Jerome Ford and Kendre Miller. The Browns running back will be the new starter as Nick Chubb‘s season is over due to an injury. When Ford was the starter early in the season, he averaged ten fantasy points per game. He gets a solid matchup against the Bengals, whose run defense has struggled.
Many fantasy managers’ eyes will be on the star running back, Alvin Kamara. He suffered an injury in Week 15 and did not return to the game. That could lead the youngster Kendre Miller to take the starting job in Week 16. Miller has only flashed in his two-year career but has the explosiveness to make big plays. He is sitting at RB29 at the moment but could have a top-20 upside against the Packers. We will have to wait for the practice reports this week.
We have a streaming option in fantasy at tight end with a major upside in Week 16. Brenton Strange filled in nicely for an injury. Evan Engram will face off against the Raiders in week 16. The Raiders have been terrible at stopping tight ends, so Strange has top-tier streaming value for Week 16.
Eyes will be on the Chiefs’ offense for Week 16. The injury to Patrick Mahomes leaves a lot of a mystery to the offense. For one, even if Mahomes plays or we see Carson Wentz, the Chiefs could lean on the backfield in a tough matchup. Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt could see big workloads this week. This could hurt players like DeAndre Hopkins and Travis Kelce in the semi-finals.
We could see Jakobi Meyers gain some value back, with Aidan O’Connell likely back at quarterback. Meyers’ day was saved with several late targets in Week 15, but we could see a more consistent play from him in Week 16 against the Jaguars.
Many will question starting Jerry Jeudy, as it seems like Dorian Thompson-Robinson will get the start in Week 16. Jeudy has been on fire, but is it him stepping up or the Jameis Winston effect? We will see, but he may not be a trustworthy WR2 like he has been for the last month and a half.
We have a quarterback change in Atlanta, as it was announced on Tuesday that Michael Penix Jr. will be getting the start in Week 16 against the Giants. Things can’t get much worse for the Falcons’ passing game, so we’ll have to see how Penix performs and how targets are distributed in this matchup. It wouldn’t be surprising to see them emphasize the run game and give Bijan Robinson a big workload again.
Finally, watch the practice reports this week to see if we get back some players like Kenneth Walker III, George Pickens, and David Njoku.
Without further ado, let’s get to this week’s version of The List!
