The List: Ranking Each Position for Week 3

Erik Smith releases his Week 3 fantasy football rankings in time for your weekly waiver decisions.

TE Notes

  • We’ve got more depth than ever at tight end, so if you are unhappy with your options you should be keeping a close eye on waivers. Some intriguing choices are Logan Thomas, Drew Sample, Mo Alie-Cox, Dalton Schultz, Jordan Reed (if George Kittle misses another week), and even Tyler Eifert, who seems to be developing a red zone role.
  • I continue to be impressed with Hunter Henry, and he has another nice matchup against a bad Panthers defense. Zach Ertz has a nice get-right matchup, and Mike Gesicki was making plays while getting heavy volume last week. We’ve got a second-tier of tight ends that are putting up a challenge to the elite top tier.

  • Darren Waller blew up on Monday night but gets a much tougher matchup against a Patriots defense that will have a week to scheme for him. You’re starting him if you have him, but that is the reason he falls to TE7 this week.
  • Evan Engram should eat with Saquon Barkley out for the season, they need all the playmakers they can get. San Francisco might not be the best way to start the emergence though, and with the depth at the position, he slips to TE11. Stay patient though, the Giants have had a tough schedule but better weeks are ahead.
