WR Rankings
- D.J. Moore through four weeks has 8, 11, 12, and 12 targets in each game. He’s caught eight passes in three straight games. He ranks eighth in the league in target share among all wide receivers and even has three end zone targets already. He looks well on his way to his third consecutive season of nearly 1,200 receiving yards, and the only thing holding him back is a career-high of four receiving touchdowns, and considering that he has three already through four weeks, this looks like Moore’s breakout year. Did I mention he is just 24 years old? I hope you have Moore on your dynasty teams.
- Tee Higgins appears to be back, and we should be happy. In fact, we should be happy about all three Bengals wide receivers, as Joe Burrow was allowed to operate out of empty sets last week, looked excellent in doing so, and the Bengals face a Packers team without star cornerback Jaire Alexander in what appears to be a shootout in Cincinnati. Start all three of Higgins, Ja’Marr Chase, and Tyler Boyd.
- Marquise Brown has scored a touchdown in eight of his last ten regular-season games dating back to Week 12 of last year. He recorded six catches for 98 yards in the game he failed to score last season, and his lone game without a touchdown this year saw him drop at least one wide-open touchdown. Brown has his flaws, but the narrative is distracting us from a borderline fantasy breakout, and while Rashod Bateman looms as a potential threat, Brown may actually thrive in a secondary role. He’s clearly benefiting from Lamar Jackson‘s improved passing in 2021.
- Players I’m pumping the breaks on in touch matchups with shaky quarterback play coming into Week 5: Brandin Cooks, Odell Beckham Jr., Courtland Sutton, and Chase Claypool. You can certainly start them all due to their talent and their expected target shares, but I’d rather sit this week out if possible on these four receivers.
