I do not like fantasy football rankings.
I do not like inter-positional rankings even more.
I said it last year. The year before that, the year before that… so on and so forth. Sure, rankings can be useful. The problem is how fantasy managers use them.
Far too often, we obsess over insignificant gaps between players while ignoring the drop-offs that actually matter. The difference between WR11 and WR12 is usually minimal. But the difference between the final running back in Tier 2 and the first wide receiver in Tier 3? That’s a butterfly effect with potential season-long implications.
Tiers tell you when a position is about to dry up, when multiple comparable options remain, and when reaching a round for a player is completely reasonable
Rankings tell you who comes next. Tiers tell you when it matters.
Alas, rankings are a necessary evil for Fantasy Football, and just like last year, I sat down and wrote up 300 players and/or defenses from a fantasy perspective.
These are my Top 300 rankings as of Monday, July 27th, 2026.
The rankings were crafted for a 12-team PPR league format that starts one quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers, one tight end, and a FLEX position, as well as a defense and kicker (#bankickers).
Like any fantasy rankings, these are not strict rules for picking players or setting your draft queue. Your roster construction and league settings are essential to consider. When I make my rankings, I look at things like projected performance, range of outcomes, risk/reward, and any warning signs that give me pause. I usually prefer players with more upside than those with just a safe floor, so keep that in mind as you read.
