What We Saw: Week 1

Deebo Samuel became the King of the Jungle after his performance against the Lions.

The NFL season is finally here, and boy was that one heck of a day of football. After all of the preseason hype surrounding Brandon Aiyuk and Trey Sermon, neither player did anything for a 49ers team that put up 41 points against the Lions. Deebo Samuel, who seems like a forgotten man for fantasy purposes, absolutely torched the Lions and earned the title of King of the Jungle as a result.

Other notable WR performances came from Tyreek HillTyler LockettAdam Thielen, and, just as we all expected, Sterling Shepard. On the QB side, it was Jameis Winston who lit up the Packers en route to a blowout victory and a defiant return to a starting job in the NFL. All the Jameis truthers are surely taking their victory lap after one week, and while that may be premature I do believe Jameis will be a Top 10 QB this season.
