What We Saw: Week 5

Alvin Kamara looked like the Alvin Kamara we all know and love

What a spectacular day of football! That is, unless you’re a fan of kickers. Yes, we saw far too many missed kicks on Sunday, but there was still plenty of excitement and big performances for your fantasy players. Alvin Kamara earned our featured image this week thanks to his stellar performance against the Washington Football Team, but really it was the entire New Orleans offense that helped to dismantle the once-great Washington defense.

Sunday also brought us the breakout of rookie Giants WR Kadarius Toney, who did his best Odell Beckham Jr. impersonation by lighting up the Cowboys’ defense before getting ejected from the game. Giants fans have to be letting out a big sigh of relief this morning knowing that their 1st round pick isn’t a bust, at least talent-wise.

Tom Brady dialed it back to 2007 and threw for five TDs against a struggling Miami defense, and both Antonio Brown and Mike Evans were the beneficiaries with two TD apiece. Even Chris Godwin, who didn’t score a TD but still caught seven passes for 70+ yards, had a solid fantasy day. This team is pretty good, eh?

Finally, if you roster anyone on the Browns or Chargers you’re probably feeling pretty good about it after the two teams combined to score 40 points in just the fourth quarter. I can’t recall ever seeing that before.
