Dallas Cowboys
Quarterback
Dak Prescott: SIT
Joe Milton: SIT
It was still unclear if Dak Prescott would play in Week 18 at the time of writing, but it appears almost a certainty that he won’t play the whole game if he does. If Prescott does start, Joe Milton isn’t worth taking a gamble on. But if Milton is named starter, he’s a decent gamble in Superflex in a top-10 fantasy matchup for quarterbacks if you’re in need of a warm body.
Running Back
Javonte Williams: SIT
Malik Davis: SIT
Jaydon Blue: FLEX, RB3
Javonte Williams is no longer on the injury report, but all the Cowboys’ starters are risky fantasy options with the likelihood they wont play a full allotment of snaps. Malik Davis hasn’t been practicing due to an eye injury, so it’s possible rookie Jaydon Blue could see the bulk of the carries for the ‘Boys. Even in a top-five fantasy matchup against the Giants, I can’t rank Blue anything higher than a flex considering he has not played a snap since Week 8.
Wide Receiver
CeeDee Lamb: START, WR2
George Pickens: START, WR2
Ryan Flournoy: FLEX, WR4
CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens are a tricky proposition for Week 18. With or without Prescott starting, if the dynamic duo are active, they can easily put up a game’s worth of stats in a half against the Giants’ putrid defense, which is giving up the eighth-most points to the position. But unless the Cowboys come out and specifically say how much they plan to play them, you run the risk of it being a series or two, and that’s it. That’s why I have both ranked as WR2s, significant upside with an ambiguous snap count.
Tight End
Jake Ferguson: SIT
Even if Jake Ferguson is able to give it a go, he’s battling a calf injury that forced him out of Week 17 and I suspect Dallas wont push him too much. The Giants are a bad matchup as well, allowing the ninth-fewest points to the position.
Defense/Special Teams
Dallas Cowboys: SIT
Never.
New York Giants
Quarterback
Jaxson Dart: START, QB1
If you’re a Giants fan, the announcement that the starters will play all of Week 18 is a gut punch to their potential for a top-two pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. If you roster Jaxson Dart and play Week 18 in fantasy football, you couldn’t be happier. Dart bounced back in the unofficial Tank Bowl against the Raiders last week, throwing for 207 yards, rushing for an additional 48 and rushing for two scores. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Dart finish as the QB1 for Week 18 against Dallas, which allows the most points to the position.
Running Back
Tyrone Tracy Jr.: START, RB2
Devin Singletary: START, RB2
Eric Gray: SIT
In a typical week, both Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Devin Singletary would be flex plays due to their shared backfield duties and touchdown dependency for double-digit fantasy points. But with a shortened list of options on the shelf and a soft matchup against the Cowboys, both are borderline RB2s. If Jacory Croskey-Merritt can run for 105 yards and score two touchdowns on 11 carries against them, Tracy and Singletary can both have productive days on the ground.
Wide Receiver
Wan’Dale Robinson: START, WR2 *not practicing*
Isaiah Hodgins: SIT
Darius Slayton: SIT
Wan’Dale Robinson caught 113 of Dart’s 207 passing yards last week, surpassing 1,000 receiving yards for the first time in his career. Unfortunately, at the time of writing, Robinson wasn’t practicing and is in very real danger of missing Sunday’s insignificant game against Dallas. There’s a chance that if Robinson misses, another Giants receiver could step up and provide decent fantasy value, but it’ll be a guessing game as to who. Starting any of them is basically looking for lunch in the dumpster.
Tight End
Theo Johnson: STREAMER
If Theo Johnson is active, he’s a solid streamer and a near must-start if Robinson is inactive. But he’s yet to practice this week after missing Week 17 and is trending out again.
Defense/Special Teams
New York Giants: SIT
Never ever.
