We get our first taste of not only international games but a new Toy Story version of the game. We’ve got some fun matchups this week that we all want to watch and some that are not so great. But that does not mean there can’t be fantasy-relevant players in every matchup. We are here for Week 4 of the NFL season with Sit/Start advice.
Writer Spotlight: Matt Prendergast
Long ago in the time before the internet (well, maybe at the very beginning, when email was an exotic idea), Matt Prendergast did some work with radio, sketch comedy, and a ‘blink-and-you-missed-it-by-at-least-five-minutes’ dabble with stand-up comedy, but at the core of all of it was a need to write and create. As he grew a bit older, he let himself get distracted by living to work rather than vice versa but swore he’d come back to it one day. QBList is that one day, about 30 years later. A lifelong Green Bay Packer fan, and lover of the old Central division, he learned the sport in the pre-Favre era, so he remembers the dark times. He came to fantasy as many do, via a work league that is still active twenty years later, even though most of the people don’t work there anymore. He then expanded his knowledge, opinions, and general sarcastic approach to his views on teams and players during the early days of The Fantasy Football Guys podcast message board, where he first ran into fantasy friends to this day. Maybe that’s worded awkwardly; they are real friends, just ones he met through this wonderful hobby. At least he thinks they’re real friends. Don’t ruin this for him. As fate would have it, one of those friends came to become the Editor-In-Chief of this QBList endeavor you’re looking at today, and through much begging and crying, Matt relaunched his writing here this fall.
